citation

When adding cite you need to put the sources name, and the actual page that the information is contained on. it is no good just including a web site address. I looked at borntobewild.com (this sums up the issue,this is what magiccaopretride has as it's front page), and it is just a front page.Slatersteven (talk) 16:28, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

A Warning

Excuse me ? This is the first time I have edited on Wikipedia and I used my real name. I am aware of all the editing wars that were going on. You may want to go to magiccarpetrideinc.com and read the history, band bios, etc.. I am 100% legit and in fact have been in touch with a Wikipedia editor. If this doesn't stop because I am an authority on Steppenwolf I will contact Wikimedia directly and get advise from them. I watched as several people went on the Steppenwolf Wiki page and destroyed important data that fans have a RIGHT to know... some body destroyed the former membership, my name was on there because its fact, that was destroyed along with a lot of other very credibly and famous musicians.

Your warning me ? Of what posting accurate data ? I'll contact Wikimedia Foundation and maybe we can put a stop to all this ??????

Please contact an admin, I think they will say the say thing. If you are the subject of an article you are not permitted to edit it Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Also you may need to check up on Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. This is friendly advice to a new user to help them avoid many of the mistake that a lack of understanding about some of the precualties of Wikipedia can sometimes cause.Slatersteven (talk) 16:54, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

I have made some edits to the text, it seemed you included material I could not find in the source. Conflict of interest

Hello Glen,

You have an indisputable conflict of interest regarding Steppenwolf and should stop editing the article directly. Instead, post suggested changes on the article's talk page.

The "Magic Carpet Ride" tour is not Steppenwolf as you well know, and does not belong in this article about Steppenwolf. The tour's own website is neither a reliable source nor an independent source, and is therefore not acceptable for use in this article. Cullen³²⁸ Let's discuss it 06:56, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

are you serious, the Magic Carpet ride is no different then World Classic Rockers, and you know dam well is a reliable website, its 100% legit and this is all starting to become out of control. I had another editor research data and he posted it, you then removed it. I am going to put a stop to this all. AT THE TOP OF THE STEPPENWOLF SITE IS LISTS ASSOCIATED ACTS, WORLD CLASSIC ROCKERS IS LISTED ?????? IT HAD A COUPLE OF FORMER STEPPENWOLF MEMBERS, MAGIC CARPET RIDE IS THE SAME IT HAS ORIGINAL AND FORMER MEMBERS. Really, well magiccarpetrideinc.com is just as reliable as the link for World Classic Rockers so if you disagree then you are bias

If you refuse to learn what we mean by "reliable source" I don't think there is any way we can discuss this. I've blocked GlenLBui because it appears to be used to continue a dispute at Steppenwolf (band). This follows a complaint at administrators' noticeboard in this complaint. Like Wikipedia policy says, you are allowed to use multiple accounts on Wikipedia under certain conditions, but this is not one of them. I'm not going to block your first account, GlenBui, because I suspect this may be a misunderstanding or accident. What I would like for you to do is to edit using GlenBui and not create any other accounts. This will make keeping track of your contributions easier, cause less confusion among your fellow editors, and avoid giving the impression that multiple people support your side of the content dispute.

This account, GlenBui, is not blocked. That means that you're free to continue editing Wikipedia under this account – but only this account. Normally, an administrator would also block this account, but I want to give you a chance to edit Wikipedia constructively. That means that I want you to go to Talk:Steppenwolf (band) and explain in a persuasive message why the content you want should be added to the article. I don't want you to continue trying to force this content into the article. I want you to discuss the matter with your fellow editors and get consensus. Its your editors who are disrupting the Steppenwolf site, please read my message to you on your page. I'm calling Wikimedia tomorrow, this needs to stop. I had an editor research for us and he posted with a reference and another editor came on there and deleted it. These editors have no real knowledge of the band. Thanks

I have again reverted your edit to Magic Carpet Ride. That is a disambiguation page, and is governed by the provision of Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages. "Disambiguation pages ("dab pages") are designed to help a reader find Wikipedia articles on different topics that could be referenced by the same search term,...".
