Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Farah Diba (Pahlavi) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Blok Glo (talk) 11:26, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for Image:Nasir-merqati-769153.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nasir-merqati-769153.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like PD-self (to release all rights), CC-by-sa-3.0 (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 12:53, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with Image:Fariba.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Fariba.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. OsamaKReply? on my talk page, please 09:04, 23 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Image:Fariba.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.radiozamaneh.org/pictures-new/faribavafi.jpg. As a copyright violation, Image:Fariba.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Image:Fariba.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

 • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Fariba.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
 • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Image:Fariba.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
 • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Image:Fariba.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Danorton (talk) 06:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Mirza Taqikhan Raf'at Tabrizi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tohd8BohaithuGh1 (talk) 16:38, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Shahryar.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Shahryar.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:25, 15 January 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Meisam (talk) 13:25, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Human and Ignorance[edit]

The article Human and Ignorance has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't see a relation between the title and the subject. Normally I'd move it to Chains of Misery, but a gsearch isn't turning up non-wiki ghits for it. Redirecting the title to the artist doesn't make sense because gsearch not turning up a tie between this title and the artist.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing dated prod will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Thanks for uploading File:Ahad Hoseini.jpg.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Gheisari! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the article:

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, OHSAS 18000 in Persian language (Wikipedia Persian). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - OHSAS 18000. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at OHSAS 18000 - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:07, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Narmina Efendiyeva requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. ScottyBerg (talk) 21:42, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Narmina Efendiyeva has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The only reference provided is a primary source. Giving this article a seven-day grace period.

Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:50, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The real problem was not lack of information or out-dated information. It was that you had no references from reliable sources to verify the information in the article. Information provided by the subject herself (Narmina Afandiyeva) is not an adequate source. You must find information about her that has been published in a reliable source which is independent of the subject and which attests to her notability. I have cleaned up the article, added a few references that verify the facts that she is a classical pianist who has performed in Baku, and studied at the Baku Academy of Music. I've also added her name in Russian to facilitate further searches for references. I've removed the proposed deletion tag, but unless further sources are provided to support her notability as a musician, this article will probably be taken to an articles for deletion discussion (AfD).
Regarding your second point, if you need time to work on an article to bring it up to Wikipedia's minimum standards, the best thing to do is to work on it in your user space on a special page, e.g. User:Gheisari/Sandbox, making sure that it is adequately referenced before you add it to the encyclopedia itself. This is especially important when writing a biography of a living person. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 07:59, 10 June 2010 (UTC) (copied from Talk:Narmina Afandiyeva)[reply]

If you did not take the picture yourself, you must include the photographer's name and the original source of the photo, a link to the exact page of the website on which it appeared or if it is not online, full information about the book, magazine or newspaper where it appeared, including page number, date of publication, name of publication, etc.

You also need to include licensing information by selecting a license from the drop-down menu on the file page. Or, if the image is enitrely your own work, place:

PD-self

at the bottom of the Description.

Unless the photographer has been dead for 70 years, the photo was published before 1923, or you provide clear evidence that the copyright holder has released it into the public domain, you cannot use a photo by someone else, except under "fair use" and you must write a separate fair use rationale for this. However, you cannot use a photograph of a living person under fair use except in extremely limited circumstances. I note that you claim File:Hasan Enami Tabrizi.JPG to be entirely your own work. However, you also state that you have created it from a photo in a concert announcement. If you only graphically altered the photo and did not take the original yourself, then it is not your own work. It is a derivative work and the copyright belongs to the original photographer.

I suggest you read Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright very carefully before uploading further images. You can also ask questions at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 15:50, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Naser Merqati requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

File copyright problem with File:Hasan Enami 01a.JPG[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Hasan Enami 01a.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:46, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Tar lute 022.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Tar lute 022.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Gheisari, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion () tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. — Sanskari Hangout 08:16, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Yadollah Maftun Amini has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Notice

The file File:Narmina & Piano 01.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused image, no context to determine possible future use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --TheImaCow (talk) 13:26, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
