Theodore Roosevelt and his middle initial -- here is the citation[edit]

Dear Frimairist,

In this edit you removed the middle initial "D" with a note calling it vandalism. I don't think it's a typo. I found it after discovering that his son Theodore Roosevelt Jr. more conclusively had the middle initial "D". This is demonstrated by the fact the the U.S. Department of the Navy lists him as "Theodore D. Roosevelt, Jr." in a list of Assistant Secretaries of the Navy at [www.history.navy.mil/library/guides/rosters/assist_sec_navy.htm www.history.navy.mil/library/guides/rosters/assist_sec_navy.htm]. While the NPS page is somewhat compelling, I wouldn't say it is enough to contradict the other sources, and the New York Times article is written in a rather humorous tone and makes a point about how the print media are often inaccurate, and I don't think it really is proof that TR didn't have a middle name.
