Meme[edit]

I think "postulated unit of cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another" is okay - "postulated" is maybe a bit pompous, but it's important to frame the article as an explanation that someone's put forward, rather than a phenomenon that definitely exists in the universe. "Infectious idea" is certainly snappy, but doesn't really explain itself. The reader is still going to have to read the rest of the lead section to find out how an idea can be "infectious". --McGeddon (talk) 11:08, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
