Yep, you're right.[edit]

And I'm on my way to nuke it again. -- Merope Talk 18:13, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ooh! I was wondering what I did to irritate someone. Thanks. -- Merope Talk 18:15, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How does one leave a:

"The speedy deletion of this page is contested. The person placing this notice intends to dispute the speedy deletion of this article on its talk page, and requests that this page not be deleted in the meantime.

Note that this request is not binding, and the page may still be deleted if it is considered that the page unquestionably meets the speedy deletion criteria, or if the promised explanation is not provided very soon."

As in creating this parabola you have created a significant crux in information flow, as if you ask for somthing to be done, then there should be the ways of doing that something, no?

How does one of somewhat limited knowledge of html programing compete against those who read it daily?

I am confused.

Nicholas Gangadharan[edit]

Just to let you know, I am not Nicholas Gangadharan and the article is still a work in progress. If my repeated attempts to circumvent your mishandling of my article haven't been noticed by you I hope that this message will put you on notice.

Have a good day.

Fan-1967, I am appauled at your ignorance. You are a troll, and wikipedia would be better off without you.

"Your repeated attempts to put a vanity article in Wikipedia have not been missed. I don't care whether you're him or not."

I would call that a personal attack, Sir.

I was also only taking note of your actions. The fact that you marked my article for deletion and then moved it to my user page within seconds of me posting it, makes you someone who trolls the new article section.Kronicoutkast 06:13, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop vandalising the articles I created. The Augusoft article is a stub and you could propose improvement but adding deletion notices does not help.

Thanks,

questions[edit]

I am new and have no idea what i am doing but i wrote a biography on Jack Iten and it was deleted.

however, it said something about why " is notable "

if anyone read it before deleted it ..you can easily see why.............

as for documentation...prove....evidence.............i have it...how do i show it to you? I have a web site from boy scouts that I can access through pass codes that gives me Jack Iten's entire provable boy scout career also i have a print out of it.

as for other awards such as Congression awards etc...i have them in my possession...........

i have newspaper clippings............etc..............

i can prove what ever you like me to prove...just tell me how to prove it.............chris stark - —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stark3923 (talkcontribs)

Thanks for link fix and a question[edit]

Hi Fan, thanks for fixing the links. Maybe you can help me figure out the template. I used the template {{Nothanks-sd}}. The template instructions only said to subst it, and I added the page name and site name so it looked like: {{subst:Nothanks-sd|Seth Hoosen Kasam Dada‎|http://www.memon.com/HTML/Personalities/personalitiesH.htm}}. Now, obviously since the links didn't come out right, I did something wrong, but can't figure out what...can you assist so I won't screw this up next time? Thanks! Okay, this is the funniest thing I've seen today:

You have recently re-created the article Anna Marek, which was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not re-create the article. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may ask for a deletion review.

Do not recreate it at Anushka Marek.

Do not recreate it at Talk:Anna Marek.

Do not recreate the article.

I think you should keep the article[edit]

I think the article should stay, because I dont think you should have to be a huge star to have an article, and she has many reliable sites on Google, so you know that she's a real person.

I think this is retarded you accuse me of leaving some retard comments well he says that a show i posted was not real and i had time to prove it was in fact no one had message me about this i am outraged from this and no i will not calm down so i would like you to repost my information

why[edit]

why do u care so much...honestly i dont want to offend you but why dont you just let people live their lives. how about you care about yourself and stop interfering with the affairs of more important people. A-lot of people like my article and love reading it. They enjoy the creative humor that comes along with the fictional storyline. Why dont you enjoy my article. Who gave you the power to dicide what is and what is not intelligant and/or entertaining? Well I say its all in the eye of the beholder. You best learn to practice some tolerance for other people otherwise you will find your self a very lonely man or woman. I suggest that you keep my article up. Treat others they way you want to be treated. If i had no life like you i could sit in front of my computer all day and zap the hopes and dreams of people all over the globe. But i wouldnt, and you know why? because i understand that the world i bigger that myself and that people all over the globe have different oppinions about what is and what is not nonsence. I say to you My article is not nonsence. If u want to delete my work i consider it a direct insult. If u wanna play the insult game...just let me know im sure i can go toe to toe with you in that department. Im asking you nicely as a fellow human being please do not remove my article. have a nice day

as regards your accusation that the page is advertising, it is certainly not. I o not tell people to sign up to the club or how to do so at any point. I will rewrite the article now, but it is not advertising!!

if you had bothered to read it, it is not about a ski resrt, but a ski club, one of the oldest and most famous in the world. Give me an hour to clan it up, this is unreasonable.

DHO[edit]

if you could be helpful and advise me how i can make it acceptable instead of lastering it with speedy deletion notices, it would be very helpful. thanks

I was just tagging that article myself. I have no idea what it is supposed to be either. What I do know is that the article was deleted 5 days ago, and a message was left on the author's talk page telling him it was inappropriate. He may need another message with a more firm warning. ---Charles 18:31, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

just one last stupid question....upon reviewing the notability guidelines, it seems to me that seemingly no-name mlb players that have played just a few games would fall under the non-notable category....yet they have articles about them? yet in that ny times article you argued that that guy that won a gold medal in some insignificant competition was deleted...even though he was in the olympic games at one point in his career

IDEA MAPPING LINK - please please answer[edit]

Pathoschild mentioned that you were the one that recommended ideamappingsuccess.com as a spam link, and that we should talk. Please take a look at the following 2 articles on the spam removal list http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Spam_blacklist#ideamappingsuccess.com and help us get it of the spam list as you will see it is a valid link related to the idea map page, we need to add that link as it is the link to the only place on the net that has so many examples of idea maps and is the main site for ideamappiing, it is also the home of the author that published a book by the same name as well... and unbeknown to me she logged in and added her request that her link be removed from the spam list. The site linked to obeys by all the wikipedia rules and I have a broken down point by point list on how the rules are not broken on the idea map page disussion area. If you still feel like it should be considered spam please let me know and lets discuss it and resolve this matter.

I see you've eventually managed to remove the film "Can you hear the stars sing", I note that Karen Alexander article still links to her romance with Alexandra Cain whose only credit was that film - Personally I don't believe either are notable - writing 5 poems published in huge (out-of-print) compilations doesn't satisfy notability to me but her partner has noting notable anymore at all. Just an FYI, the same editor that created Arthur Livingston Kelley Atomic Dynamics also created (dot)AXE as a description of the "file format" of said "program". I PROD'ed the article using parts of what you said. So, if you're watching the article, you might want to watch both. I've added both into my watchlist. -- Gogo Dodo 18:44, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: The editor did make a couple of edits on Arthur Livingston Kelly Nature Center, so your theory is plausible. I'm going to take a wild guess and suspect there was some computer course ("Build a hypothetical application using this design kit.") and the editor decided to post an article about it after he took it home? I tried to look at the schedule at Camp Yawgoog, but I really didn't find much in the pile of PDFs they have. There was one reference to a computer course, but it didn't say exactly what it covered. -- Gogo Dodo 20:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - I created "Rabbi James Kennard" and then realised that it would be more in keeping with Wiki-style to create "James Kennard". I don't know how to delete the superfluous entry.

I'd be happy for "Rabbi James Kennard" to be deleted, and the text transferred to "James Kennard".

Thanks for the advice.

Matt Hoyt hoaxer[edit]

Miracles do occur, my friend. Do not question me on these subjects. Who are you to question my supreme authority on the Howard County counsel? I have friends in high places, and for your sake I really hope that none of them get wind of your egregious accusations against a man with my character. I bid you good day.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mth790 (talkcontribs)

Sorry to tell you this, but we've seen much better hoaxers than you. Let's see, you created the article at 16:10 and I tagged it as a possible hoax three minutes later. Then you come up with a lame story about another council member having died in 2004 when the links you yourself provided show him active this year. Kind of sad, really. Hello from Christina[edit]

I just want to move on with my life. I am not going to recreate a page. I'm going to make my name, my way, and not do any more of that. I believe everyone is entitled to a new beginning, and that's just what I'm doing. No one should care that this happened when I was barely a teen and still immature, and when I'm 30 and that's not what I want to care about. I want to move past this and begin a new life. In fact, I won't be visiting Wikipedia anymore. It's a sore subject and an immaturity in my life that I've grown past. I understand you not trusting me again, but I'm not asking you to delete anything from your talk pages (so you could still use that evidence against me if you feel I would do this again) All I'm asking is a for a clean slate to start from-clear the page, and I will be gone forever from Wikipedia.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.163.102.79 (talkcontribs)

You know, I wish I could believe that, but less than two weeks ago you edited the page to try to change the hoax information from Christina Marie Ritter (the hoax you tried here before) to Christina Kathleen Ritter (the hoax you tried in the last few months on TV.com. Now you want to tell me you've become more mature in the last two weeks? Don't buy it. The page will stay out there. If you haven't tried to resurrect the hoax anywhere in the next year, why don't you try revisiting the subject, say, Thanksgiving 2007. Fan-1967 20:42, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Very well. If that's what it takes, I shall do exactly that. Good-bye until Thanksgiving 2007.

This is true[edit]

first off: where did you get that stat? also, many bands do suck when they start off. They get better though, ya know U2, they were originally a crappy cover band that played in bands they are now one of the most famous rock bands in the world. If you would just let the bands keep there pages up then they would get feedback and advice to get better and maybe become the next big thing!

Hey, you're more familiar with this dude than I am. Are some of the names on Image:Promnight.jpg the buddies that he's been claiming are about to be big stars? Absolutely. Stephanie Flores is one of his classmates. You can check the deleted article Creep tonite for Belle and Gomez, but I think they're part of the group, too. He's Dakota Thomas. Curtis and Nielsen (not Nielson) were in the original, but there's no word of them being in the remake, or McAdams. (Even the rumor sites have no casting at all.) I think he has a thing for McAdams (he is fifteen, after all). Fan-1967 22:27, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I'm concerned, the kid has gone way past any possibility of AGF, and is clearly a hoaxer and liar. The movie is, at this point, barely into planning stages. Studios do not produce posters of any sort at that point. Fan-1967 22:32, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's pretty much what I figured, thanks for the confirmation! FreplySpang 22:37, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

At what point does this get labeled vandalism? Good question. Since he provided actual sources for the basic info about the Wes Craven remakes, and those sources do say "Wes Craven is planning to remake Prom Night," I thought it was a good sign. (Someone more knowledgeable about the movie industry than I am should evaluate those sources for reliability, though.) I'll go nag him about the unsourced stuff I rv'd last night, if you haven't done so already. FreplySpang 17:49, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a separate issue on articles on movies where all we have is the usual movie sites saying "this movie will be made" without much info beyond that, but many people do that (look at Talk:Saw IV, for example). What I call vandalism is the repeated insertion of his little crew of 15-year-olds into articles. I prefer not to deal with him as I've made my opinions very clear. I'd like to see him get the message that others find it unacceptable. Fan-1967 18:58, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Memphis Improvisational Theatre[edit]

I could not find the appropriate Level 1 or Level 2 warnings. If I made an error by posting a Level 3 warning incorrectly, then I apologize for this mistake. However, I have had to edit the anonymous vandalism on at least a dozen occasions. I also apologize for editing the anonymous vandal's discussion comments. I accept full responsibility for my actions.

If anyone searches the web for "Memphis Improvsiational Theatre" they will find that the information is rather consistent. I am the Executive Director of the Theatre, and I am responsible for the web site. I am also the one most qualified to edit this page accurately. At least, more so than some anonymous editor who seems bent on vandalism.

Some anonymous editor or editors have found it necessary to vandalize the page in an effort to discredit the theatre. It seems like the work of someone with a personal axe to grind. One of the edits was done from the IP address 147.154.235.53. This address (along with someone with the pseudonym "David Eckstein" has been responsible for vandalism on another Memphis improv page for the Wiseguys.

I strongly suspect, but cannot prove, that the vandalism is the work of my brother-in-law David, who works for Alcoa (which uses the IP address listed above). I unceremoniously fired him from another improv group that I directed many years ago, mostly due to his immature behavior. He has been responsible for this same type of vandalism on other web sites.

The fact is that the Memphis Improvisational Theatre does exist. We just finished an 8-week improvisational workshop series. We do not have any more workshops nor performances planned until after the holidays.

If Wikipedia requires more source information, I would be pleased to provide it. I have help edit several other articles in the past, and would like to ensure that I am following all established rules and guidelines. However, some anonymous editor with a personal vendetta should not be the final authority.

Gregchilders 20:00, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

Go ahead and delete the Memphis Improvisational Theatre Wikipedia entry[edit]

If Wikipedia's policy is that someone cannot edit a page if it pertains to them directly, then you are well within your rights to delete it. Sorry to have wasted your time.

Please keep an eye on entries from the IP addresses 147.154.235.53 and 24.92.134.49. In addition, please check the alias "Apatronoftruth." They have been the perpetrators of multiple cases of vandalism in the past. The former IP address has also vandalized another Memphis improvisational group's Wikipedia page for the Wiseguys.

Truth be known, there are dozens of articles in Wikipedia concerning improvisational troupes (with most of them done by someone in the group). If this is the policy of Wikipedia, I expect most of these will be deleted soon as well.

I concede the argument. Delete away.

The anonymous editor "Apatronoftruth" appears determined to keep editing the page even after it had been marked for deletion. Apparently, it's not enough for this person to vandalize the page. They want to kick me when I'm down.

Hey hey,

Just thought I would stop by and apologise for my sh***y behaviour recently, im not going to make excuses for myself because it was pretty unexcusable, but I did however want to stop by personally and apologise, you were doing your job and I stepped in your way because I thought I was right when I wasnt, I could have handled it many different ways but I didnt and it was completly my fault, so im sorry for my bad attitude and also want to thank you for having the patience not to ban me for it, I appreciate it and I guess im going to have to do some donkey kissing and thank you for taking the time to actually admin this place in the first place.

Once again my bad and you have my apologies bud :) btw, please dont send a message to my IP if possible as im dynamic and probably wont get it, I'll check back here a few times in case you wanted to reply.

Peace out :)

If you still think CrzRussian was in the wrong in any way, then you clearly don't get it, and don't understand your behavior or his. Fan-1967 19:23, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the matter was dropped by me, I didnt do anything new at all, I left it alone and didnt goto wiki for a few hours, then when I went back he had edited my talk page and started the whole thing up again, its clear he was wrong in doing this and I went to his page and asked him to stop vadalizing my talk page and told him the matter was over with without using bad language or being rude, he then banned me after because he decided that it wasnt over till he forced me into saying something so he had an excuse to ban me, he couldnt get one and saw that the chance was slipping away and decided to ban me. im not saying I was an angel but theres a clear cut case of power abuse there.wiki pedia admins dont have the right to vandlize user talk pages at a whim, when I changed my page to how it was before he banned me for it because he obviously thinks that wiki user pages say what he wants them to say. 85.178.238.225 19:31, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, you don't get it. The User Talk page is for people to communicate to you. You chose, instead, to fill it with your vanity entry, which had already been deleted more than once in other locations. He restored it to the messages that had been left for you. He warned you, you chose to ignore his warnings and insult him again.
Let's face it, you chose to use Wikipedia to promote yourself. At no time did you bother to educate yourself on our rules or standards, and instead chose to treat everyone here with contempt. You are then surprised that you reap what you sow. Fan-1967 19:37, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No actually I know the rules but they are too vague in the area that applied in that case, but like I said, the problem I am talking about with crzrussian is that AFTER the matter was dropped he tried to push it to try and get an excuse for a ban, you say I didnt know the rules, how could you know that? you're purely guessing, you say im surprised? well yeah obviously im surprised that a wiki admin decided to keep pushing a user who had dropped the problem and kept trying to annoy the user by breaking rules himself JUST to get an excuse for a ban, in the end the ban was clearly unjust and if you cant see that then I guess you still have a bit of learning to do, I made my apology, thats the best I can do im afraid but if you think that crzrussian is right over his actions then perhaps he's not the only admin who shouldnt be working here.

Anyway im out, im a pretty busy guy and I really dont have time to waste on things like this, im sure crzrussian has all day to but this is probably one of the least important things I can think of, for me the matter is resolved, I have a new account, its not being used for trolling (nor was my other account though, but I guess every mod/admin makes one ban he/she can clock up to power abuse) and nor will it be, im purely here to enjoy the information that wiki has to offer and to add to it where I feel I can, I wish you a nice life and hope to catch you around wiki somewhere bud :) take care. 85.178.238.225 19:43, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He broke no rules. You choose to interpret his actions as pushing you, but that's just you blaming him for your actions. No, you don't get it. Fan-1967 19:46, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki vs. Wikipedia defense[edit]

Your logic is 100% correct. However, "wikipedia defense" is a direct quote from Floyd Landis. Although it is not an accurate description of what he is doing, it is a term coined by a popular member of society to mean collaborative defense. Landis did not even start a wiki, Internet users started it for him after he published most of the relevant defense documents

I couldn't figure out what you typed. First of all, I assume you're a girl, if you're calling yourself Mother Teresea, so how did I accuse you of being homosexual when I called him your boyfriend? The stuff about Darfur and Hillary Clinton (that you can't spell) and the antichrist and abortions and guns and gays just made no sense at all.
Regardless, you clearly never bothered to read Wikipedia guidelines on notability. Are there "Multiple non-trivial report" in the media about Nolan Trapp? No. End of story. Fan-1967 20:51, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alas![edit]

See how easy that was? You could have said that earlier. You didn't have to be so mean about it. It will all be okay. No use in this arguing. But yeah I'm no dictionary with a cornucopia of words to use. But I urge you to shake your money maker. Nolan Trapp is a big deal though. Thanks!

What do you think of that Mufasa?

Well?

STEFAN FAISON[edit]

I added the website, where you can find proof that Stefan is in Nancy Drew, So I took off the tag.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries11 (talkcontribs)

You added a link to an IMDB resume page, which has a banner at the bottom: "IMDb is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of the contents of this page, which have been supplied by a third party and have not been screened or verified." IMDB allows unverified material like that. We don't. Fan-1967 00:50, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

STEFAN FAISON 2[edit]

Uhh..yeah, I dont see that anywhere, so yeah....but I do see this: "Resumes may be viewed by our editors to review manually for accuracy, and in this case it may take up to 72 hours before those selected resumes will go live on our site". I highly doubt IMDb will post pages of actors who dont exist, see'ing how the pages are listed in their search engines. Let's think here.

It's right at the bottom of the page. It's also not even Stefan Faison's profile. It's Sade's. If IMDB had reviewed it they would have noticed the names don't match, so clearly they haven't reviewed it. Fan-1967 00:56, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I also can't find the phrase you're quoting anywhere on that resume page. "Resumes may are viewed"? Not even English.) Fan-1967 00:57, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please dont change my messages, thats just rude. Also, why would it have someone else's name on the top of his page?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries11 (talkcontribs)

Anyway, If you ACTUALLY find something that is actually saying Stefan isnt a real person, then I'll just keep posting it. Sorry :)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries11 (talkcontribs)
And you'll get blocked for doing so.
The IMDB profile is number 2396860:
Profile: http://imdb.com/name/nm2396860 Says Sade Faison
Resume: http://imdb.com/name/nm2396860/resume says Stefan Faison
And the edit history of this page clearly shows who wrote what. I did not change your posts. You are really a stupid girl if you think you can sell that one. The history is quite clear, right here. Fan-1967 01:07, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I dont see, what you think I'm getting out of adding the CORRECT info.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries11 (talkcontribs)

You're either Sade, Stefan or a friend of theirs. That's pretty obvious, because no one else in the world has ever heard of Stefan Faison. Fan-1967 01:07, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You dont have to add anything I put, but in a way..I kinda won. I feel sad for you, is Wikipedia your whole life? That So So0o0o0 sad if it is lol. I suggest, you get out more...you know, make real friends. Oh yeah, I did just add Stefan Faison, hes not really in the movie, but thanks for fallnig inot my trap and waisting your ENTIRE night on this, and doing extensive research, while I just sat her and laughed lol. K, gotta go back into the real world, I'm sure you're internet-wife is waiting for you. Bye, lonely person lol—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries11 (talkcontribs)

Have you noticed you always add "lol" whenever you get caught in a lie? You probably hadn't even realized you did it. How sad, that you have nothing better to do than add nonsense here. And yet you think there's something wrong with my life. Fan-1967 01:18, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]
