Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Obviously you are not new and had been around with another identity, but please (1) be careful when editing, (2) read others' edit summaries, and (3) explain your edit, especially when reverting. Everything is there for a reason, especially when more experienced editors collaborate, discuss, create a new format and phrasing (such as the AA/US hidden notes) and others follow. CVG Edits[edit]

Thanks for your edits on CVG. Most of them very great and very useful, however I reverted your edit on the Airline market share. The data is actually from 2014, not year to date. As it is from 2014, US Airways should be listed as separate until new data for 2015 is released. I did change the titles though according to your edits, as they did fit better. Thanks. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:67.189.126.119, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Information icon Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. NeilN talk to me 05:59, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed that you have been changing the Columbus Rickenbacker airport title on destination lists to just Rickenbacker. I am curious to know the logic of this because according to WP:Airports, the name of the airport should reflect the city it serves, not the airport name. In case you are not familiar, Rickenbacker is not an area of Columbus, rather it is the name of a person whom the airport was named after. So, the destination should be listed as Columbus–Rickenbacker. Thanks. Stinger20 (talk) 23:31, 9 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

My recent revert - Airbus A380-800[edit]

Sorry I reverted your edit this morning, I think I thought you were saying completely the opposite than upon reflection you actually were.Andrewgprout (talk) 00:59, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Andrewgprout: Hi Andrewgprout. No worries. :)

Hello EnRouteAviation, I sincerely appreciate to your contributions on editing the Oakland International Airport Wikipedia page. Something I'm not too clear, we need to further research and discuss if Kona Air Shuttle operates at Terminal 1 at OAK. As of the moment I've known it operates at Kaiser Air's North Field hangar. As I've checked on Flightaware it does not list the parking assignment to where it operates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Salv007 (talkcontribs) 22:18, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Salv007: Hi Salv007, I guess the question really is weather or not any other airline operates out of Terminal 2 other than Southwest. As I made this edit to the Oakland International Airport Wikipedia page, I just assumed that Kona Air Shuttle operates from Terminal 1. In theory, Southwest is the only airline that has operations within Terminal 2, so for now Kona Air Shuttle should be labeled as Terminal 1, but if we can find a credible/reputable source stating that Kona Air Shuttle operates from Terminal 2, then it can be changed to Terminal 2. If need be, this topic can/may be added to WT:Airports. Thanks! EnRouteAviation (talk) 00:54, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@EnRouteAviation:Checked Flickr, it appears that Kona Shuttle operates at North Field. I've created a new category named "Charter" on the Oakland International Airport Wikipedia page. See Flickr image [1]

Hello, I'm EncMstr. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from Lake Oswego, Oregon. Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! —EncMstr (talk) 04:40, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, what?[edit]

Almost two months ago, an IP editor removed sourced content from the article Boise Airport with no explanation except to say "not a hub". There have been numerous revisions to that article since then, and now you revert my correction with the uncivil statement Undid revision 685974253 by Etamni (talk) non reputable source - not a hub. do your research before reverting edits please... The source appears to be a valid primary source in that it appears to be, or be copied from, a corporate site of the parent company of the airline in question. If this information is out of date, the fault (for the restoration without significant further research) lies with the IP editor who simply blanked the information with no real explanation. I really don't have time to fully research each and every restoration of blanked content that is blanked without explanation. If that was the standard, the vandals would quickly blank the entire encyclopedia. Etamni | ✉   06:00, 12 December 2015 (UTC) Edit: clarified comment at: 06:25, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Etamni: Hi Etamni, and my apologies, I should not have made such a rude statement as that regrading your edit(s). My point here, is that Horizon Air does not currently have a hub at Boise Airport. If you'd look at the wiki page, you'd see that Boise Airport has never been a hub for Horizon Air. I'm not sure why Horizon Air was placed as a hub under Boise Airport in the first place as (to my knowledge...) it has never been placed as a hub before... The main reason that I reverted your edit was because Boise Airport was never/has never been listed as a hub per Horizon Air-wiki article. EnRouteAviation (talk) 18:04, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My own recent research shows that it was previously a hub, but no longer is (thus the reference to the info being out of date). The source that was deleted appears to have last been updated several years ago, and more recent pages on the airline's own website no longer list Boise as a hub. Text in the Boise Airport article mentions that it was a hub from the 1980's until sometime after 9/11 -- I've just now tagged that with a {{cn}} tag since it appears unsourced. The Horizon Air article has a section titled Destinations in 1986 that lists Boise as a hub then; the source for that section is here (but I'd need a better source to use it elsewhere, since it's essentially a fan site and might not be considered WP:RS by some). For what it's worth, I live so close to this airport that I can walk to the terminal in just a few minutes, and I once (many, many years ago) had an office in a building on the south side of the field that can be seen in the USGS photo that appears in the article. I think that many people (at least those who pay attention to such things) remember when this was a Horizon hub, and perhaps many assume that it still is. I certainly was making such an assumption when I reverted the blanking of that info (although I did open the link first to make sure it confirmed the information that had been blanked). Later, I will try to locate a better source for this info (i.e. the fact that it was a hub but isn't now) -- something that fully meets the requirements of WP:RS. Happy editing. X-Men: Apocalypse[edit]

Hello, I reverted your edit about the budget of the film for which you provided this source but the problem is that the source you gave does not mention the budget at all. The same kind of budget has been added many times on the article by some IP address without any sources nor do I can find any reliable source online which can confirm this budget. If I am making mistake in this matter, please talk to me about this matter before re-adding the budget again in the article. You can leave me a message on my talk page. I noticed you remove ANC as a destination for United from DEN. According to united.com, there is still flights from DEN to ANC (as UA1126). Thanks! 97.85.113.113 (talk) 07:15, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@97.85.113.113: Oh whoops, i meant to remove FAI as a destination, not ANC. My bad! EnRouteAviation (talk) 21:59, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AIV and user warnings[edit]

Hey EnRouteAviation, thanks for your recent reports to WP:AIV. I noticed several of the users you reported hadn't been fully warned. If you could make sure that users you report on that page have been fully warned, vandalized past their final warning, and vandalized recently it would be greatly helpful when reviewing AIV. Instructions for doing so are located in the green box at the top of WP:AIV. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! Prodego talk 06:05, 18 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This same advice applies to all of your current reports as well. Please ensure your reports to AIV meet the requirements listed at the top of the page Prodego talk 01:24, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What are your intentions here? You continue to ignore the AIV instructions, which I have to assume is deliberate as this is now the third batch of additions you've added that have all lacked user warnings. Prodego talk 05:14, 21 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of talk page comments[edit]

Hello— you can't just go and remove comments from talk pages. Not only has that been explained to you already, but it was explained to you in the very comments you are trying to remove. My suggestion is to drop it, otherwise it will escalate and the outcome won't be in your favor. You can read the relevant guideline here. Just to echo the above, AIV reports should be considered (as a simplified rule of thumb) when:
  • The editor has a final or last warning, and continues to blatantly vandalise
  • The account is a clearly vandalism-only (doesn't often apply to IP addresses)
For IP addresses, it only really pays to report whilst they are still engaging in vandalism as the editor using the address can change relatively quickly. If you'd like any more clarification or any further help, let me know Merry Christmas! -- samtar whisper 22:47, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can I help?[edit]

Hi EnRouteAviation, seems you've had a little bit of a rocky start to AIV - no harm done though! Is there anything I can do to help? Wikipedia can seem a bit "full on" with regards to how it's administrative side works, but with a little bit of mentoring and asking questions you'll be wrangling vandals and helping us all out in no time! Feel free to drop me a message on my talk page whenever you feel like it, be it asking for some advice or ranting about a troublesome editor and I'll be sure to lend you a hand Once again, have a great Christmas and a wonderful New Years! -- samtar whisper 22:54, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bogus ClueBot warning?[edit]

Why are you posting bogus ClueBot warnings, as you did here, especially when a) the user had already been warned about all of their edits, and b) your warning claimed they had edited an article which they had never edited? Care to explain what are you trying to achieve? Otherwise, please stop. General Ization Talk 05:20, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@General Ization: I copied and pasted the template and forgot to replace Cluebot with my signature, my apologies. EnRouteAviation (talk) 05:22, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't copy and paste bot warnings. As I noted above, it was more than the lack of your signature that was incorrect about the warning you posted, and it was completely unnecessary as the editor had already been warned (and has since been blocked).
