Proposed deletion of Lumumba Hall[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lumumba Hall, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

While a university is normally notable an individual hall of residence is not. I suggest moving some, but not all, of this information in to the article about the university itself.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Lumumba Hall[edit]

I have nominated Lumumba Hall, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lumumba Hall. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. More content to follow. In particular there is a rich history about this hall in the lives of Kampala residents that I would like to include and justify my publication of such a tiny university.

Don't panic. The AfD process takes at least 5 days. If you can prove that the hall is separately notable (using references to reliable sources) then I will withdraw the deletion nomination. You can also give your opinion in the deletion discussion. --DanielRigal (talk) 01:26, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Gongom.jpg missing description details[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 01:13, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The file File:Gongom.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
