Your draft[edit]

Hi again, I just realized that what I told you about moving drafts was outdated and wrong. I can take care of it. Is the article ready to be requested to be moved? jonkerz ♠talk 06:24, 9 February 2012 (UTC) {{help me}} yes it's ready Drum4free (talk) 07:07, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Technical Help[edit]

{{help me}} Articles for creation/drum4free...I'm hoping this won't be the title if or when it's accepted. Needs to read "Alabama Shakes". Also, third paragraph next to last sentance needs this inline reference. http://thefourohfive.com/news/article/rough-trade-sign-alabama-shakes. Thanks.Drum4free (talk) 17:34, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Alabama Shakes already exists, and is different from your submission. --Chris (talk) 17:39, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Drum4free, no worries. It will be named Alabama Shakes. I will take a look at that reference.
Chris, that submission is written by someone else. Drum4free is referring to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Drum4free. jonkerz ♠talk 17:48, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but if both are considered good enough to be moved into mainspace, which one does? Do they need to be merged? --Chris (talk) 20:26, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Alabama Shakes was declined on 18 December last year for not establishing notability; it was first expanded after Drum4free's draft was moved to the WP space, and I didn't notice this until now. I'm still new to AFC, but I say that the first submission to be accepted should be moved to mainspace and then they can be merged. It seems like that will be Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Drum4free. Of course, any editor may still merge them before that; Drum4free, perhaps you are interested in doing this? jonkerz ♠talk 15:16, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Drum4free, I've added the ref, take a look at the page now. jonkerz ♠talk 17:59, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Jonkerz, link looks good. Thanks. Not sure I'd like "merging" with other article as the first two sentences are inaccurate. Alabama Shakes hail from Athens, Alabama not Georiga eventhough the link says that. The two band members who started it all met in a high school psych. class and the other two were added later. My link references the bands web page which confirms this and I happen to be the drummers father. My aim is to be totally unbias (which is hard) and at the same time be totally accurate not just because I've witnessed most of it but because I can reference the material. For example, I've got a photo of the band saved "Alabama Shakesrollingstone.jpg (i think) which was taken by a professional photographer at one of their photo shoots which my son said would be OK to use however he's not the photographer. So I've asked their manager for copyright info. Thanks again for all your help. It's much appriciated. I'd by very happy to merge with any accurate article and more than willing to accept any tidbit of accurate information to enhance the article. Again much thanks.Drum4free (talk) 19:17, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
