Hi @Deb, the Principality of camside is not a hoax, it was a micro nation in australia that to me was really inspirational in what they accomplished. Hi Deb, thanks for replying, that makes sense, I had copied copy off the Principalities Archived website with the plan to get a page up and then updated it from there. With that your reason was perfectly fine. I tried to put up another version of the page after that, using some words of my own, but DoubleGrazing deleted it as a hoax, and then my account got blocked indefinitely following that by Bbb23 with the reason 'not here to build an encyclopaedia'. I tried to appeal that, but that failed. So my first (and now only) attempt at contributing has very much ended. I had no idea wikipedia acted as such a gatekeeper of knowledge. I'm a little bummed for sure. Is there anything I can do for a second chance? I did hope to still share a bit of info on the Micro-nation... Driver4567 (talk) 02:56, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was blocked while trying to create my first page on wikipedia, I was trying to document a micro nation that existed and was a really important part of history. I also uploaded an image that was a crest, they only option was for it to be listed as my work, this perhaps upset, I then tried to delete but couldn't so changed the author to be correct. These sources might be enough to establish an article about Mr. Siminton and the sanctions against him by the Australian government, or possibly an article about micronations in Australia, but not Mr. Siminton's in particular. @331dot and Talk:, I included a link to the micronations defunct website on the wiki page I created. And a link to a video that relates, in which issues that exist with in Australia's formation are pointed out, albeit just on paper. With in the video it's pointed out that Australia wasn't formed properly (legally on paper you could say in terms of it's separation from the UK and the establishment of the Constitution), and this group of people created the micro nation in order to challenge the government and sort of try and point out the issues and help formalise Australia. It's an old topic now and doesn't really mean too much, but I think the formation of the micronation was an important part of history for Australia and Australia's history of Micronations. They point out that there is an issue with Australia's constitution and it relates to why Australia is the only country in the UN that has no Bill of Rights for the people. They created the micro nation on paper in order to try and correct that, which I think was actually pretty noble.
That being said, I can appreciate that such history is not for everyone. And I can also appreciate that the effort made by these individuals didn't gain much ground. So ok, yes if the admins would not like to include that, I can live with that. But then why block me forever for just trying to document that. It was not a Hoax or Promotional and has nothing to do with me. For me when I was much younger to realise that people had formed a micronation in Australia was a really interesting idea. I wondered how countries were formed and under what right. It helped me understand the formation of countries in general much better. I think if you watched the video you'd appreciate the process this group of people went through much more.
I had found the Category list of Category:Micronations in Australia, and wanted to just add the Principality to the list, but realised I needed to create a page for the nation in order to do so.
You did also state that perhaps with the previously provided links I could document an article about micronations in Australia, except I can not, because I've been blocked for posting this unpopular article.
I'd still appreciate if the Wikipedians here could reconsider the blocking of my account. This was my first time creating a page, and I didn't expect to get blocked indefinitely from it. I'll leave it with you. Thanks.

It is often difficult to decide whether a particular article about a supposed micronation is describing it as reality or as a hoax. I have not seen the deleted articles, and will defer to the deleting administrators that they did not satisfy notability, and may have appeared to be written from the point of view of the micronation. However, I am asking that you assume good faith on the part of the submitter, that they were trying to write about a notable hoax, rather than to perpetuate a hoax in Wikipedia. Hi, just responding to this thread, I don't believe the micro-nation was a hoax. I was just trying to document it, I understand there was also a digital currency (made pre-crypto) in association with the micro-nation after it's formation, and I believe this is why this page was thought of as a hoax, but I wasn't documenting the currency. I was interested in the micro-nation.
