Just a tad upsetting that album art for singles can't exist on artist pages if the article isn't about the single. dogman15 (talk) 09:50, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dreamkix, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chris Brown (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

MLP: FiM season 4[edit]

Hi Dog. :) We could use your opinion here; basically, the source you brought about S4 being 26 episodes long may not be adequate, as it relies on a no longer existent document. -- / Kàmina / 15:11, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Nintendo 3DS Acid3 test results.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nintendo 3DS Acid3 test results.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 08:23, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Tabitha St. Germain.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tabitha St. Germain.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. De728631 (talk) 14:54, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on this, but I resent that you don't trust what proof I already had, and that I'm having to contact the owner of the camera about this. Expect results soon. dogman15 (talk) 22:46, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Reeducation" about original research etc.[edit]

I guess it is safe to say that you are not very pleased with the fact that Wikipedia does not say the fourth season of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" is going to have 26 episodes. No, I didn't need to see [1], [2] or [3] for that. I know you already tried to add that to the articles this March ([4]), this May ([5]), this July ([6]), and now - this September ([7]). In all cases - with rather questionable sources that do not say what you are trying to add...

So, I guess that you should be persuaded to like Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research.

Thus, for the first try, I would like to cite two groups of discussions on the talk page of Grand Duchy of Lithuania: [8], [9], [10] and [11]. Wikipedia:Fringe theories/Noticeboard and its archives also should hold enough examples of things going wrong when sources are not followed honestly, without adding anything. And for "theoretical" approach, i would like to offer you User:Uncle G/On sources and content. So, should I look for other examples and arguments, or are those sufficiently persuasive..?

Oh, and about those "diffs" I mentioned... Maybe you should avoid things like that... No, I am not going to lose my sleep because of any of them, but, um, I don't think that getting banned for lack of civility is a very good idea... So, try to calm down. Watch an episode, look at some fanart (let's say, [12])... And (since you have a userbox describing yourself as a non-denominational Christian), perhaps, say a prayer for the community of Wikipedia - and creators and fans of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"..? That should do the job. --Martynas Patasius (talk) 23:24, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, whatever. I hope you had fun composing this message. Thanks for poking light fun at me after reading my user page. I'm not mad, just frustrated, but nothing you do can change that. I already know Wikipedia's policies, thank you. Have a nice day, please go away. dogman15 (talk) 23:42, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
"[P]oking light fun"..? Actually, all the comments were meant to be serious. Yes, including the one about prayer (well, I do add such intercessions while trying to pray Liturgy of the Hours, thus I don't see anything inappropriate about that).
But if you do not want such help, then, well, as you wish... --Martynas Patasius (talk) 23:52, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The "poking light fun" thing was actually specifically about the prayer comment, and using something on my user page, and - I didn't want to say this at the time - making (what I perceived to be) fun of my religion. I doubt this was your intention, but that little bit was what particularly irked me. Now really, please do leave me alone about this matter. I will continue to monitor everything for any signs of "26 episodes", even though WE ALL know it to be true. Once again, goodbye. (I get it, thanks. No more.) dogman15 (talk) 00:14, 16 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
