WikiProject[edit]

Hey, would you be interested in starting up a Kurdish, Kurdistan or Kurd related WikiProject? - FrancisTyers 22:42, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I do. But I do not know how it is. Diyako Talk + 23:11, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aha, cool - I expected to see a response on my talk page, well, see Wikipedia:WikiProject to start off with and see if it is what you are looking for. - FrancisTyers 15:47, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What do you reckon then? Should we start a WikiProject? Do you think there are enough people (5 or more) who would be interested? - FrancisTyers 01:56, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PKK[edit]

I nominated PKK for article improvement drive, if you have time it would be great if you could help out! :) - FrancisTyers 15:47, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, are you still interested in mediation? Please reply at my talk page. Redwolf24 (talk) 02:10, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are a propagandist[edit]

Excuse me? The kurdish numbers are highly inflated and the Assyrian number highly deflated. In 1990, Assyrians outnumbered kurds in Iraq. Today you're claiming that kurds have doubled in number as compared to Assyrians. You're a bigot and an antisemite. Stop your ridiculous inflation policy.

NO, No, No My friend i am not antisemite. never!!

I like semite people such as Assyrians and Hebrews, but actually the CIA World Factbook figures claims a much lower figures for Assyrian people in Middle East. Diyako Talk + 21:14, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong[edit]

The cia world fact book is wrong! There hasnt been a legal census in Iraq ever. So how would the cia know whose there? kurdistan or whatever you call it, is not a region, never was and can never be. Assyria, 7000 years of history lay in the heart of mesopotamia. So how could you call it kurdistan, the kurds have only been there 30 years or so, and they are illegal squatters on indeginous land.

What ethnicity are you?

Iranian peoples[edit]

Please see my comments on Talk:Iranian peoples. I have suggested that we disconnect the term Iranian peoples from any genetic or "racial" theories because it doesn't make sense to do so and historians and academics never intended for the term (Iranian peoples) to be used in a racial fashion. Ultimately it comes down to culture, language, and history that Persians, Kurds, Azeris (though they are Turkic as far as language), etc. share. What do you think? SouthernComfort 12:48, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I don't understand what the problem is with the term Iranian peoples, since it is not intended to refer to "race" or "genetics." Kurds are culturally, linguistically, and historically connected with other "Iranian" groups like Persians and Lurs, so why the antagonism towards the term? It has nothing to do with the country of Iran or the Islamic Republic. I have empathy for the plight of Kurds and the situation of Kurds in Iran, but the term "Iranian peoples" has nothing to do with politics - it's an academic term. SouthernComfort 12:57, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kurds-related articles[edit]

שלום

I have read it. I reverted because you are surpressing the idea the the Kurds are an Iranian people. The Kurdish people and Kurdistan articles are a bit POV towards the Kurdish side, and I was happy to see that someone made it more neutral, but then you reverted. --Khoikhoi 18:28, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kholkhol. I am against ant uncited and biased edit. That anon's edits were too much biased toward pro-Kurdish-Iranian POV. Please before any reverting read the edits carefully. Diyako Talk + 18:34, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Come on. Don't tell me you're denying that the Kurds are an Iranian people. --Khoikhoi 18:35, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am not deciding here. No wikipedian decieds on this. Since no neutral sources cliams it we cannot accept it. Can you clam that Hebrews are part of Arab world?!! Diyako Talk + 18:40, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jesus Christ. Please keep your nationalistic beliefs out of Wikipedia. You are related to the Persians, stop denying it. The Israelites are a Semitic people, as are the Arabs. --Khoikhoi 18:44, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but this shows that you do not know anything about this matter. Diyako Talk + 18:46, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How so? --Khoikhoi 18:56, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. Wikipedia is not a buletine for political propaganda! Diyako Talk + 18:58, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

KURDS ARE 100% a member of the Iranian peoples. The problem is that when people think of Iranian they misplace the term with Persian. It is similar to the case of the Scots in Britain being called Englishmen. When British means Scottish, English, and Wales. Saddly Israelis are propagandists who wish to create problems between the nation of Iran and the Kurdish people to achieve political goals. Israel is creating fake research saying Kurds and Jews are genetically related and so on and I would highly doubt anything said by one.

This is only your POV! Diyako Talk + 19:24, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CRIMINAL[edit]

You are a criminal you can not change scientific fact. KURDS ARE IRANIANS IT SAYS THAT IN EVERY TEXT BOOK and STUDY. THEIR CULTURE, GENETICS, HISTORY, LANGUAGE, GEOGRPAHY, CALENDER, AND TRADITIONS ARE PROOF OF THIS. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY KURDS ARE OUTRAGED BECAUSE OF YOU!!! ISRAELIs ARE PROPAGANDA ARTISTS.

This is not a matter of Israel! I regret to tell you that your claims are not true and scientific but pure POV of yours.

Remember do not attack other wikipedians such as being a "criminal". It is also considered as vandalism. Diyako Talk + 19:39, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure you are a Kurd[edit]

Sorry, but I think you are manioulating this website. It is funny how you focus on Iran. WHy do you not discuss Turkey and the terrible things they do to Kurds there. I think I know why.

Firstly, Yes, I am Kurdish. Secondly. I have not focused on Iran (?!). Thirdly wheter Turkey had done terrible things or not does not mean that Iran is innocent, I do not prefer compare them maybe Iran has done worse. And last I like all of Iranians.

Diyako Talk + 22:52, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I DO NOT TRUST YOU[edit]

Sorry I do not beleive one word that you say. Iran has done worst things?? Right that is why Kurds acroos the world say Turkey and Israel are the worst entities in the Middle East. Do you remember when all the Kurds attacked the Israeli embassies? They acused Israel of selling Kurds out to Turks. Look it up. A lot of misinformation comes out of Israel and by the way Jews are not an ethnc group or race they are a faith. So stop putting Jews as relatives of Kurds.

What are you talking about?[edit]

I honestly did not understand the message you left at my discussion page. I'm not taking anyone's side and I'm not Persian either. Nor am I taking any extreme positions. In addition, if you look at the history of the Kurdish people I was the one who added information that supports the possibility that many Kurds are genetically more akin to the Caucasus than to other Iranian peoples and this suggests a language replacement theory. I don't know what your problem is, but you need to not make personal attacks that make no sense. Tombseye 23:44, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have reinstated the redirect at Iraqi Kudistan which you nominated for speedy deletion - the whole point of the redirect is so that someone who types in Iraqi Kudistan by mistake will be redirected to Iraqi Kurdistan. Regards, CLW 14:19, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are the only one supporting the idea, there is no consensus, several sources are cited for the appropriateness of the article. Removing content from WP is vandalism. Shervink 17:10, 23 February 2006 (UTC)shervink[reply]

Once again: No Original Research.
Those sources never claim there is an Iranian people as it is claimed there, instead they discuss an Iranian language family, which has its own article. Iranian people according to every credible and neutral source are the people who are living in Iran which I even have suggested a redirection from [ Iranian people ] to Demographics of Iran.

Kurdish names[edit]

Hello Diyako,

I see that you are Kurdish. Perhaps you can help out by adding Kurdish names (in both Kurdish script and transliterated into English/Latin letters) to various geographical articles (cities, districts, mountain ranges, rivers, etc.) throughout Kurdish regions (incl. Turkey, Iraq, Iran, etc.) as former Greek, Latin, Hittite, Lycian, Arabic, Assyrian & Hebrew names have been added to some Turkish geographic artcles, and former Turkish names to Greek, Bulgarian, Macedonian, etc. articles, and Latin to France, etc. etc. I know that there must be many Kurdish names that differ from the ones found on the pages of Atlases that get dictated by the languages of the capital (Farsi, Arabic, Turkish, etc.) Thanks for your help. Carlossuarez46 00:50, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Carlossuarez46,
Yes, many Middle Eastern cities, districts, mountain ranges, rivers, etc have several names. I've added many Kurdish names to Kurdish-related articles. I'll keep adding them whenever I meet such articles. Thanks.

Iranian continent[edit]

Hi,

I have explained my suggestion on the Talk page of Iranian continent to delete that article or re-write it in the context of geology. It is not a widely used term. Google search brings up 14 sources, out of which 6 are referring to geology [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6] . These three (about Iranian languages) do not contain the exact phrase [7], [8], [9]. (they appear in the search probably because they contain the line, Continent of orgin: Asia right after Branch: Iranian)

The only ones using the term in cultural sense are [10] (religious pesonal weblog), and [11](cinema) which are not academic sources.

This one also does not contain the exact phrase[12].

The last two sources are from Wikipedia, probably added by some nationalists: [13], [14].

So out of 14 sources, 6 are geological, 4 do not contain the exact phrase, 2 from Wikipedia (which we have to suggest to be deleted), and 2 are not academic (one about cinema, and one some religious stuff).Heja Helweda 18:16, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you relax, take a deep breath and have some water, then re-think what you are doing.

I see you have described humans on your userpage, but I don't see any direct sources that you are one? please correct this or I will have to put it up for deletion ;) --Kash 01:20, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

An Iranian? oh yes, I am one of the Iranian people..So are you, I think?

Anyway the article aside, don't blame Iranians for what the Kurds are going through. It's the government. It's the same mistake terrorists make when they kill innocent people. --Kash 01:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Diyako,

Read the tag you keep pasting. You can only nominate an article for deletion only after efforts to edit or improve. You have done nothing. Not even provide counter evidence.

Furthermore, it says: "Please remove this message when you've improved the article, or if you otherwise object to deletion." I object to deletion based on the majority consensus against you. And, ...the sources of course.

The rules are that the {{prod}} tag should not be reapplied after it has been removed. Please do not edit war over it. If you still feel that this article merits deletion then you are free to add it to WP:AFD. However, from my experience I would say that mature article like this are almost never deleted. I urge you to work together with your fellow editors to find a reasonable compromise on this material that expresses all your opinions in an NPOV way. Thank you.
