AHANA

Applying a speedy tag to AHANA could be considered disruptive. I repeat: the article has been around for six years, if you want it deleted, it deserves an AfD discussion (where there will probably be unanimous keep motions). — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:36, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of ADFM

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ADFM, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 13:46, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

ADFM

Hello Dipankan, Can you please give citation and categorize the article. then I will see what I can do. Please keep one thing in mind when you create a article, you categorize and give reference. Thats very important. If you do that It would be very hard for anybody to tag for deletion. Thank You. -aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 16:20, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

The article ADFM has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I've declined a speedy for spam, as this isn't unambiguous promotion. It is, however, worded in a non-neutral manner, and describes a functionary of the Eastern Railway, India, and the privileges accorded to this rank in a way that might be encouraging people to apply for the position. I feel that the position is not one that is notable enough for an encyclopaedia article.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Notability

I've declined the speedy, but feel that the position doesn't really merit an article. If you can show that it does, and reference with reliable independent sources {WP:RS]] - please note that the company site, blogs and forums are not considered reliable - please do so. You may remove the PROD notice at any time, of course, but if you haven't shown notability first, the article may go to Articles for Deletion for a general open discussion. Please do ask if you have any queries. Peridon (talk) 16:32, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

If you do manage to show the notability, please look at WP:NPOV as I feel the wording to be non-neutral. This might be because of differences between Brit English and Indian English usage. I find from both personal experience and from working here that Indian English tends to be rather more florid than Brit English (with the exception of the utterances of Brit English speaking estate agents and other marketing departments, who achieve near incomprehensibility at times in their passion to allow you to purchase something...). Peridon (talk) 17:00, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
I am not in the least suggesting that you are not telling the truth. However, things do not get Wikipedia articles merely for being true. I am not disputing that there is an examination as you say. What I am not sure about is the notability of the position under discussion. What we need is some reliable independent sources to show that this position is of note, preferrably outside the railway itself. Wording like "Becoming a ADFM is not easy as child's play" is not encyclopaedic, and probably could be changed. I've done a quick copy edit - putting spaces after stops and a couple of minor changes - but I'm leaving the references to you. Peridon (talk) 12:42, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

You can't say that the creator of that article and who wrote those is same, because he used IP to wrote those. And only admin can block an IP address. We can't block him. Don't worry I will have that IP blocked by an admin. aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 09:36, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

And when you leave a message about previous discussion use Indent like I am using here. okay. aηsuмaη ༽Ϟ 10:48, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Spectral space

Uh, how was my edit "not constructive"? 'Dually equivalent' is the standard term, I've never seen anti-equivalent. It's called dually equivalent on the equivalence of categories page, not anti-equivalent. -96.238.40.89 (talk) 14:29, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

It's on the Equivalence of categories page... they use 'dually equivalent', not 'anti-equivalent', so I just switched the terminology on the spectral space page to the standard one. I don't get what the confusion is. -96.238.40.89 (talk) 14:37, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Um, alright. In the future you might want to hold back on blindly reverting and throwing up a uw-vandalism without checking to see if the edit in question is, y'know, correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.238.40.89 (talk) 14:45, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
