Your Sandboxes[edit]

Hey folks. This is a broadcast message being sent to everyone on Prof Weil's course that have added themselves to his course page on Wikipedia. I'll be using this in order to communicate with you all. In this message I would like to request that you let me know the location of your sandbox. If you are working in a group please let me know whose sandbox you'll be using for your proto-articles so I can add them to my watchlist. If you have any questions please feel free to bug me either on Wikipedia or in the IRC help channel. Sincerely, EdwardsBot (talk) 02:10, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How to contact Basket of Puppies[edit]

Introduction paragraphs in your articles[edit]

Dear Students, please a look at the introduction of your articles and have a read of WP:LEDE. I noticed some of the articles did not have the most well developed introduction paragraphs. Also, please remember to stick to a neutral point of view. This means no prescriptions and no suggestions. Have a look at WP:NPOV for more information. Thanks! BoP EdwardsBot (talk) 21:40, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We're #1 !!![edit]

Dear students- we're number 1 on the Wikipedia:WikiProject_United_States_Public_Policy/Leaderboard. This is awesome and extremely impressive! Way to go!! --Basket of Puppies (talk) 15:40, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Mentor[edit]

Hi! I'm replacing Basket of Puppies as your Online Ambassador/Mentor for the last part of this class. I'll be looking over your article to see where I can help. You can contact me on my talk page, User talk:Donald Albury. -- Donald Albury 01:07, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Donald. I'd appreciate any feedback on the article you might have. Thanks! Dglasser13 (talk) 15:46, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I like the article. I think it is well written and structured. What are your plans now? Do you want to do anything else with the article? -- Donald Albury 01:33, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We have until May 3rd to continue making improvements before it's graded by the professor. We'd love to get more feedback from the WP community. Do you know any ways to go about doing that? Also, do you know how to get a rating from the public policy project? I've seen some of the other class articles have been rated. Thanks! Dglasser13 (talk) 22:20, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
One possibility is to post your article at Wikipedia:Requests for feedback. I have no experience with that process, so I don't know how much feedback you will get. You can also post a message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film asking for members of that project to give you feedback. I don't know how many active members they have, but it's worth a try. A bit further afield would be Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Taxation, but your article does touch on tax policy. And, of course, any new relevant material from reliable sources that you find should be added to the article. If you want me to, I can help with posting your requests for feedback. -- Donald Albury 02:02, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've posted the article for peer review in the taxation group and the general wikipedia peer review list. (The film group didn't appear to have its own PR section.) I'll be curious to see what kind of feedback we get. Thanks! Dglasser13 (talk) 01:35, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see that you got a response from the request for feedback. I'm glad that worked! Let me know if I can help in any way. -- Donald Albury 01:04, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
