Speedy deletion nomination of User:Decyfr/sandbox[edit]

Thanks for your note, DoubleGrazing - We would, however, like to flag there is enough in the public domain to ensure notoriety, as well as the fact that all information has been underpinned by multiple third-part sources which not only account for public interest in the subject matter but also the fact that this contribution helps streamline information about Sid Kohli, and helps avoid the very critical pitfalls of misinformation, impersonation, and slander. We would therefore, in good faith, request you to please reconsider this particular decision, as it should in no way meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. I have only requested speedy deletion of your sandbox draft User:Decyfr/sandbox, which duplicates the submitted draft Draft:Sid Kohli. We cannot have multiple drafts on the same topic, and in any case the sandbox draft wasn't submitted and is therefore just taking up hosting space. Is there any reason why both drafts should be kept?

I also must ask, who is the "we" in your message? Please note that Wikipedia user accounts are strictly for use by a single individual only.

Finally, you have replied to my COI query ('Managing a conflict of interest'), but didn't actually respond to it substantively. Could you please provide details of your relationship to Mr Kohli? Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:15, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Understood - apologies, definitely still figuring one's way around the platform. Very happy for the draft to be deleted in order to avoid duplication. There's no spectacular reveal as such in terms of the use of "we", I'm afraid - just something that's become a (potentially annoying) habit over time. That said, in terms of the COI enquiry, fellow industry colleague and/or former co-worker would perhaps be the closest fit IMO. Decyfr (talk) 02:40, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, the issue here isn't that we need more footnotes/sources in general. You have lots of footnotes here (way more than you need!), and they do show evidence for claims like "he wrote for this company in that year". What we're looking for to establish "should this person have a Wikipedia article" is sources about Sid Kohli, that isn't written by Kohli or someone associated with Kohli (eg, a school he went to). A profile in a magazine, news coverage about his work as a presenter, that sort of thing.
