97X Green Room albums

Hi, You do not have to place rescue tags on pages that have been proposed for deletion. A rescue tag is for articles that have been nominated for deletion through the AFD process. If you object to a proposed deletion, "you may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to deletion for any reason. However please explain why you object to the deletion, either in your edit summary or on the talk page." If you can show why the albums are notable by showing that they have received "significant coverage in multiple reliable sources", then there will be no need for an AFD. I came here to say the same thing. Also, WP:NALBUMS may apply. Look for something about an album being notable if a lot of notable bands contribute to it. I believe there was something about that in there once. Dream Focus 20:49, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean. It doesn't matter who the bands are. The albums themselves have to have coverage in independent and multiple reliable sources to pass notability requirements. I know of 4 radio stations in my area alone that release albums like these, which basically just promote the radio station. Do all of those radio stations use the money for any specific causes? Because this goes to The Nature Conservancy. Are the versions of these song exacly what you'd hear from their own albums? Because these are entirley acoustic versions. Do those stations release these albums in a series, because this one does. There has to be something that makes the four radio station albums different than one another, and/or different from the versions of the songs that each band releases. ----DanTD (talk) 22:06, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

None of that matters if you cannot find coverage in reliable sources. That is how you will survive an AFD. To answer your question, though, in at least one instance, KLLC's albums support local cancer research charities, versions are live and/or acoustic versions performed at shows put on by the radio station, and are released as a series called This Is Alice Music with at least 12 volumes released. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 22:43, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

Well, I suppose you can blame WSUN for taking that source away. And possibly even All-Music Guide, since they've been known to trash their pages(who says the internet lasts forever?). Josiah Woodhull House

Hi Dan ... thanks for letting me know about the actual location of the Woodhull house. I've modified the entry in the Brookhaven NRHP list accordingly. In most cases, I just enter whatever coordinates Google Earth gives for the address. In some cases, they're a little inaccurate, but I figure it's better to have something close than nothing at all for people who want to use the coordinate information to locate NRHP sites. OH and that image with the 6 Train, I would guess it is at Grand Central, if I haven't already answered that question a while ago. I forget, but you can tell by the "step aside" markers indicating the door locations.

List of state roads in Florida

I see you're starting to fill in rows on the list, which will be awesome when it's done. However, I don't think we should use {{Jct}} on it. If it's used on every row in the S/W and N/E termini columns, it will break and the bottom half of the page will not display shields. I'd suggest ditching the shields and hard coding the links. It'll result in the page loading much faster as well. Plus, saying something now will result in fewer headaches in the future! –Fredddie™ 14:11, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

Really? I didn't see anything break on the bottom so far. I just tried to add one on the bottom of one section and it seemed to work just fine. I'll keep it in mind, though if there's still a chance it might break. ----DanTD (talk) 14:22, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

It will work fine for a while, but once the table is completely filled out it will break. My guess is somewhere around SR 600 is when it will start to break. –Fredddie™ 16:16, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

There's a template limit in the MediaWiki software, anything over that number will start doing funny things. We've found that {{Jct}} won't display shields. –Fredddie™ 16:18, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

The exit list for Interstate 10 in Texas (370 exits in 880 miles) can't use the templates either for the same reasons. Part of the issue is that you can only have 500 "expensive parser functions" used on a page. {{jct}} uses an "expensive parser function" to see each time if the shield graphic exists. If it does, it displays the shield; if not, it flags the article in Category:Jct template transclusions with missing shields so we know an article needs a shield graphic made. So, after the 500th time a shield graphic is going to be displayed, the server acts as if the shields don't exist, and the template stops trying when it hits that limit. Eventually, the server will hit the overall template limits and stop trying to use jct at all.

The other reason we don't recommend using jct for the termini in these sorts of tables is a matter of visual priority and distraction. Adding a shield graphic adds some visual weight to the surrounding text. If the subject of the table row (say, SR A1A) has its shield, and nothing else in that row has one, it has more visual weight compared to the rest of the information. Adding the graphic to the termini would distract from that. Imzadi 1979 → 19:55, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

NRHP train stations

Hi! I see you're adding infoboxes to the stations, thanks. I'm doing importance assessing of NRHP articles, and applying fixes as I find them. If an NRHP infobox is missing, I'm adding that it needs one. I'm actually focusing on assessing the ones with the NRHP infobox now, so more'll be more cropping up.
