SEPTA 56

Hi DanTD, is it possible to snap a picture of the Bus on SEPTA Route 56? I'm working on a project and I'm collecting images for this on the Commons. Thanks in advance! --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:25, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

It's a bit out of the way for me, and I guess it will take me a month to free up the time. On the other hand it looks like an easy task from the Commons project description - just get a picture of the bus with the number on the front. I'll see what I can do. Pittsfield Train Stations

Hi DanTD! I've created a page for the Pittsfield Depot but it I couldn't find many sources for where or when the station existed. Precedent is to merge all major stations in one city unless they're truly distinct (I.e, State Street and Union Station in New Haven, or Grand Central Station and Grand Central Terminal in NYC because each of those two had major (multiple books) information available about them. Scelsi is a direct replacement for the former Amtrak platform off Depot Street, which was a direct replacement for Union Station, which is a direct replacement for "Pittsfield Depot", which is a direct replacement for the wooden station that burned in 1854.
None of the previous stations have enough independent history or notability to possibly warrant independent articles - Meeks' definitive The Railroad Station gives Union Station half of two sentences plus a footnote about the older building (while, for example, devoting a whole page to New Haven Union Station and several paragraphs to New London Union Station. Information about the wooden station and the older bare Amtrak platform is even more absent.
NE2 is exactly correct about the station locations, but that doesn't necessarily mean they should remain separate. Moving a station across a rail yard is incredibly common - the optimal station location often varies by a few blocks. That's no reason to treat them as anything more than separate incarnations of the exact same station. New London, New Haven Union Station with its predecessors, Lynn, Framingham Railroad Station, Holyoke Railroad Station, Back Bay, Wareham Train Station, Union Station (Northampton, Massachusetts), Littleton, Dedham Corporate Center ... there are dozens of examples where having the combined history of equivalent stations together in one article presents a more more coherent history than splitting it into separate articles possibly could.
