Please read the non-free content criteria again

Please give Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria a thorough reading before you continue to comment on matters regarding non-free content. There seems to be a disconnect between the arguments that you have been making and the basic tenets of that policy, and I'd like for you to please refamiliarize yourself with what that policy says. For your arguments to carry weight in discussions, you need to make good, solid, policy-based arguments. Your arguments have not been up to this caliber.

If you disagree with what the policy says, you need to begin discussions to change the policy. If you get the changes you might want, great. Until then, however, the policy is as it is, and you need to make your arguments based on the existing policy. SchuminWeb (Talk) 02:30, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

Astoria Boulevard-Hoyt Avenue shelter.jpg

The picture was taken at Astoria Boulevard, not Astoria - Ditmars Boulevard. I frequently confuse those two stations because of their similar names. You can correct the description if you want. The Legendary Ranger (talk) 12:48, 13 October 2011 (UTC)

Drumheads

Apparently, you fail to understand the difference in which drumheads are going to Commons and which ones are being removed. Images that only consist of text and simple geometric shapes, such as that for City of Los Angeles, are considered ineligible for copyright on account of their being too simple (thus lacking sufficient originality), and therefore are in the public domain on account of that (see {{pd-text}}). In the case of City of San Francisco and others where they are being nominated for deletion, it is because of graphical elements in the image that go beyond simple shapes and text. For City of San Francisco, it is the right-side drumhead, which contains a graphical element. That is why it's being nominated for deletion. SchuminWeb (Talk) 10:02, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
