Portal:Jhelum[edit]

Why do you insist on name Jhelum Portal instead of The Jhelum Portal despite of the fact that all the other portals of Pakistani cities are like The Lahore Portal, The Karachi Portal etc. I am again changing it to The Jhelum Portal. --TalhaDiscuss © 10:47, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jhelum tehsil[edit]

you have done totally wrong by moving Jhelum Tehsil to Jhelum (city). All the other cities have seperate articles for tehsil ahd city. It is required to have saperate articles at certain moment, like here: Template:Tehsils of Punjab (Pakistan). Now i am looking how to undo this move. Please be carefull in future. --TalhaDiscuss © 11:40, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apnajhelum[edit]

Put yourself in my shoes. If I told you that Pakistan.Com is the official website of Pakistan, would you believe me or would you believe that Pakistan.Gov.Pk is the official website of the country? Usually the official website of a country, state/province or city/town would be a DOT-GOV or similar website because these are setup and controlled directly by the relevant government or an appointed agent of that government. In certain countries the official websites are a little different; Cuba for example has very few DOT-GOV-DOT-CU but there are also severe restrictions on other Cuban websites. In the case of Jhelum, it is not good enough that you say that apnajhelum.com is the official website or you say the district coordination officer has declared apnajhelum.com is the official website. You need to satisfy the Wikipedia requirement of a reliable source declaring apnajhelum as the official website. A reliable source can be:

  • .edu.pk (educational institutions)
  • .gov.pk (federal government)
  • .gob.pk (government of Balochistan)
  • .gok.pk (government of Azad Kashmir)
  • .gon.pk (government of NWFP)
  • .gop.pk (government of Punjab)
  • .gos.pk (government of Sindh)
  • or a reliable newspaper website like Jang or Dawn

I think this is a reliable source.--TalhaDiscuss © 16:17, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
