Hello, Croftscv. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Juliette running.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Croftscv. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:20, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Croftscv, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Wurlitzer light.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Croftscv. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:03, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Projector Cog.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Projector Cog.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. -- lucasbfr talk 22:27, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Wurlitzer light.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Wurlitzer light.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? dave pape (talk) 17:22, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

Please can we discuss the declined submission situation further? - there are several notable and reliable sources outside the developer (me) - including a well-known British broadcaster (BBC Radio 4 You and Yours), National newspapers and magazines (The Guardian, Wired UK Magazine) and an international App competition (AppCircus).

The app is featured on the Curzon Community Cinema's official website itself (N.b. The Curzon are not the developer by the way - I developed the app as an academic research project based at the University of the West of England. The app has undergone scrutiny by the academic community - as evidenced by a published peer-reviewed conference paper by the British Computing Society (EVA London 2011), plus winning the Media and Cultural Studies Association poster prize 2012).

Is this an issue with the list of conference presentations? These could be removed if they are too impartial?

There is also a broken link from the Curzon Community Cinema wiki page.

I would be very grateful if you could reconsider or explain in more detail how the above sources are not notable, reliable and verifiable.

Many thanks,

Charlotte

A tag has been placed on File:Ballroom of Whiteladies Picture House, March 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 15:32, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Rape and Representation[edit]

The article Rape and Representation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Major WP:NOR and WP:SOAPBOX concerns; everything past the first paragraph is not actually about the book itself, and much of it is not and probably cannot be reliably sourced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 74.12.92.201 (talk) 09:48, 12 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
