Re:Frustrated User[edit]

Thanks for asking for help. First of all, it is important that we all assume good faith. Hopefully, we can reach consensus through collaborative discussion. Texture is a very respected contributor and member of the Wikipedia community. He has been granted administrator status, but his removal of your external links is unrelated to his status. Anyone, even anonymous users, can add or remove links from articles. I'm sure you understand that Wikipedia cannot permanently accept all links that are added to its articles. If we did, Wikipedia would become a free web directory, and the lists of external links at the ends of our articles would grow so large that they would become difficult to use and edit. (Can you imagine how many bloggers would put links to their blogs at the end of the article on George W. Bush?) Anyway, the Wikipedia community has established a set of rough guidelines for determining whether links should be allowed. I gather you have already visited the page, but you can find it again at Wikipedia:External links. Generally, links to Blogger.com are very rarely considered appropriate for Wikipedia articles (although yours is very impressive). Since you have already discussed the issue with Texture and cannot reach an agreement, then you are welcome to use Wikipedia's dispute resolution process. Since this is frankly a trivial disagreement, the most appropriate avenue for resolution is probably asking for a third opinion. If you would like to make a request at Wikipedia:Third Opinion, just let me know and I can help you set it up properly. Thanks. --TantalumTelluride 22:24, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for your reply. firstly, that was not my blog just a blog i came across while looking for study material. i would like to assure you that my comments are all in good faith definitely; all of us here who care to take the time to contribute or to administrate have no conflicts in wanting the best for Wikipedia.

the "bureautic few" remark i made was not directed at Texture, but just a general remark about how the greatest empire can be screwed up by the minority bad sheep. i hope Texture would not misunderstand.

i will do as you advised to make a request at Wikipedia:Third Opinion, as this site is one which i would go the distance for, given its contents. i thank you for your time. Regards.
