Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Collegiate School (Bristol). Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Thank you. The page needs amending to edit the reference to slave trading and BLM protests; this is not vandalism. How do I edit material on Wikipedia without you immediately undoing it please?

The fact that Edward Colston was a slave trader is referenced and relevant to the article. Please stop attempting to whitewash it. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 11:34, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have made one change only now:

the line

"It is currently in a period of transition from the name Colston’s to Collegiate after BLM protests in 2020."

now appears in the section with the heading Name, rather than in the opening paragraph, as we are no longer in a state of transition.

I have left the reference to slave trader alone.
