This may make it easier for you to see updates to either the article or the talk page, especially if you don't have many pages watchlisted. (Me, I've got 12,200...Wow.) You can ping other editors like JamieBrown2011 by either using {{u|JamieBrown2011}} or {{ping|JamieBrown2011}} (the latter yields a colon after the name, buuuuut, the ping system is a little buggy, and it will only work if you ping them at the same time you add your comment and sign your post with four tildes. If you come back after the fact to edit your post, or to add the ping, it won't work, even if you re-sign the post. ACV[edit]

On my talk page, you said: "I'm no ACV doctor, but I noticed about 2 years ago you removed an addition I made citiating it was "weak primary sources." I'm curious if you can extrapolate on that because the evidence was beyond obvious to me when I was in the lab ( not involved ) but observing that study. The ABC lab published these findings in peer reviewed medical journals as well and eventually they were accepted to NCBI. To me, that isn't the definition of "weak" so I figured I would ask. =) This is what I posted --> A 2016 study showed Anti-obesogenic effects of apple cider vinegar (ACV) in rats subjected to a high fat diet. Source: PMID 27209492 A 2007 study showed that "vinegar affects insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic gastroparesis by reducing the gastric emptying rate." This same study concluded that ACV did not decrease post-postprandial glucose levels but mildly increased due to the ratio of simple carbohydrate content of the food used during the study. Source: PMID 18093343 In a 2010 study by Dr. Carol Johnston concluded "The antiglycemic properties of vinegar are evident when small amounts of vinegar are ingested with meals composed of complex carbohydrates. In these situations, vinegar attenuated PPG by 20% compared to placebo." Source: PMID 20068289

PMID 27209492 is a rat study which we don't use as a source for content on human health; see WP:MEDANIMAL and WP:MEDASSESS. PMID 18093343 and PMID 20068289 were weak, small-subject (9 or 10 people) studies far too preliminary to cite for the encyclopedia; they have not been corroborated by larger or more rigorous clinical research. Content on human health or disease should be sourced to a systematic review or meta-analysis of completed, high-quality clinical trials, discussed in MEDASSESS. Just to clarify your statement about results that "were accepted to NCBI." You may be assuming that a published article listed on PubMed, an NCBI listing service, is somehow approved or validated by the National Center for Biotechnology Information and the National Library of Medicine which publishes PubMed; no such approval or validation is undertaken, as explained here. Creating references[edit]

For medical topic references that have a PMID number, there is a tool that creates a proper reference after you enter the PMID number: https://tools.wmflabs.org/citation-template-filling/cgi-bin/index.cgi All you then have to do is copy the content into the article, between the <ref and </ref stuff. I did this for the exercise meta-analysis study you cited. Doc James did it for the Diabetes citation. Keep in mind that individual clinical trials (and animal and cell culture research) do not meet the standard for medical/health topics. David notMD (talk) 14:13, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Block evasion claim[edit]

Can I ask which block you think is being evaded at Talk:International Churches of Christ? You cited WP:NOTFORUM as a reason for removing the material, but a post pointing out that the article needs more independent sources is well within the scope of talk page discussion. I'm completely fine with the claim if made by you. Feel free to audit the sources. I personally have no investment in the page. It can be deleted for all I care, BUT I am invested in keeping that user & his 5+ alt accounts off adding to the encyclopedia because his additions are historically nonsense. He had been using wiki as his soapbox for ~9 years +/-. While I may have deleted 1 relevant post/ claim, it was part of a slew of nonsense. See the archive 8 and 9 for details.
