Jean Pierre Bemba Nationality
Hi, you edited the Jean Pierre Bemba article to describe the subject as simply "Congolese", and cited WP:MOSWikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography. In fact, Congolese is not of itself a nationality - the Republic of Congo is next to to the DRC - and of course it is relevant as per WP:MOS to mention the subject's nationality as he is a politician there. - Several articles on politicians from the DRC use "Congolese" in reference to nationality despite it being applicable to the RotC as well and vice versa, hence I thought its omission here to be curious. Perhaps wikilinking to the respective country in its mention would help to resolve the confusion, should it really be that significant to otherwise promote rephrasing. The DRC's constitution and nationality law makes mention of "Congolese" as the nationality, so its inclusion is not inappropriate on its own: the only reason I could see warranting its avoidance is that designation being one shared among two states. - English Wikipedia's content guideline regarding external links states that linking to websites outside of the project should not be done in the body of articles. If a link to another website is appropriate to the coverage of the topic, it should be placed in the section marked "External links" at the bottom of the page. Clyde H. - Yes, however in the same edit you also added a link under the "Awards and honors" section, which counts as the article body. I recommend looking over Wikipedia's Manual of Style since it outlines the standards for formatting and adding content, including when and how to use certain links. Essentially, external links may be included in the "External links" section if they provide information relative to the article that cannot otherwise be introduced in a citation or internal link. - It should not be referenced in the "Awards and honors section" for the reasons I already brought up. It was marked as spam because adding external links to the article body is generally not constructive: in this case, if the award in question was notable enough, it should have a wikilink to a Wikipedia article of the same name regarding it, not an outside page serving the same purpose, though this does not apply and therefore, per MOS, it is unlinked. RIT sport of "Sample preparation and polishing"
That bit you restored in the Rochester Institute of Technology#Athletics ... that's not serious, is it? It looks like a joke (ie, vandalism). Isn't it? Why restore it??
Sample preparation and polishing for research needs is a practiced sport at RIT. Placed in division 3 in the PIS division, they are strongly overqualified for their role on the athletic field in this sport, placing 1st in 9 of the last 8 championships. Working off a full scholarship and drafted first overall into the major league is John Smith. He now practices his skills full time with the Charlotte Hornets (no not that one).

- Truth be told I do not draw .svg maps from scratch either, instead I find a base map from Commons to use (e.g. a blank map of house districts) for adding colors/layers. I have seen Twitter used as a valid reflink before on more than one occasion. This Twitter link is from Ellis' daughter who attests her mother died in 2019. According to WP:RS, "There is an important exception to sourcing statements of fact or opinion: Never use self-published books, zines, websites, webforums, blogs and tweets as a source for material about a living person, unless written or published by the subject of the biographical material" -- however, as Adrienne Ellis is deceased, according to her daughter, who should know ... You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2023 Nigerien crisis. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
