Hello all.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Matt chandler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Help[edit]

If the article was deleted for not proving why he is of significance can I create it again once my research has been completed? I thought I had to create the page first then continue working on it but apparently I should've have done my research and created the document first, then type it into wikipedia?

I am not an admin, so I can't see the previously deleted [1] and [2] to see if all three creations were about the same subject, but my recommendation would be to create it as a draft in userspace at User:ClemsonScholar4/Matt_Chandler. Userspace draft works-in-progress are usually not deleted until about a year after most recent improvement edit unless attack pages, copyright violations, hoaxes, or promotional. The draft should clearly indicate how he meets at least one of the standards for Wikipedia:Notability (people), and must include in-depth biographic coverage from multiple independent unrelated-to-each-other books, magazines, news programs, or newspapers; I'd recommend leaving out any involved sources until after acceptance as an article - they don't count toward acceptance, and the clutter delays approval, since they must be evaluated and discarded as not external coverage, though adding 1 (one) official website under an External links section is standard. This covered more fully at Wikipedia:So you made a userspace draft, which also has the submission template to add when you're ready to submit it. Hey Jason, looks like you're already getting some good advice here. Let me know if you need more help. Nikkimaria (talk) 03:39, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The article is off to a good start. I have made some minor changes, but I don't want to get in the way of your assignment. One of the fun things to do when you create an article is to create links to it from other articles - for example, here. StAnselm (talk) 06:09, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
