I created an article but I don't know how to move it to the live section. I didn't use the article wizard. I created an account and then just wrote the article and saved it. Also, how do I add a picture? I looked for that too. I guess I didn't read thoroughly or something. Help!! Please and thank you.

Please see the picture tutorial, and moving a page tutorial; please also take a moment to read those articles as it's vital to address those in your article before it's approved.

Hello, ChuckHeat. I'm sorry but moving pages requires autoconfirmed status. That means you need to get at least 10 edits and stay for 4 days before you can move any page. Once you have the autoconfirmed status (which you can check by entering your preferences and looking at the "Member of groups" field), there will be a triangle besides the search bar, move your cursor to it, and you will see an option to move the article. On the page that opens, change "User" on the pull-down menu to "(Article)", and give it a reasonable name in the box on the right. Uploading pictures needs autoconfirmed status, too. Be sure to check if your picture meets the copyright policy.
By the way, your article is a biography of living persons (BLP), but doesn't have any references. Unsourced materials on BLPs may be challenged and removed. Reliable, published, and independent sources are needed. For a quick introduction of references, see Help:Referencing for beginners. Before continuing, I'd also suggest checking if Charles McCrary Henderson meets the notability guidelines. Good luck and happy editing. A tag has been placed on your user page, User:ChuckHeat, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages: user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Technical 13 (talk) 04:08, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

Why does the page show up as User:ChuckHeat on google search results? Also, if someone searches for Chuck Heat will it the wikipedia page show up as a result even though its shown without the space as ChuckHeat? If not is it possible to change that?

Your page exists only as a draft at your userpage. You can submit it for review, so that it can be moved to Chuck Heat, by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the page. That said, we recommend you do not write articles about yourself. You can see our conflict of interest policy for more information. GorillaWarfare (talk) 04:17, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am not writing a page about myself. I am actually a woman. I believe that this person is a person of interest so I wrote an article. I referred to it as my page because it is the page that I am writing.

Alright, feel free to ignore the last part of my message. GorillaWarfare (talk) 19:41, 23 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • In that case ChuckHeat you need to go visit WP:CHU and request a change of username as this one violates our policy on impersonation (I am sure that wasn't your intent, and I'm slightly surprised that GorillaWarfare didn't mention it). Thanks! Technical 13 (talk) 00:01, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oops!! It was definitely not my intent. Wikipedia is slightly confusing. I had (have) another username and thought I had to have ChuckHeat as my username in order to create the article with the title ChuckHeat. Silly me. Thanks for you help.

I see that the page was denied approval so I just want to make sure I understand correctly what would make the page notable for a producer/musician. ChuckHeat has had a single to chart by itself and also had 3 albums chart that have his songs on it. If I provided the citations would that give his page proof of notability (sorry I can't remember all of the exact terminology off hand)? Please let me know. Thanks!
