About Aftab Shivdasani

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Aftab Shivdasani a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Aftab Shivdasani filmography. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Akshaye Khanna. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

Stop splitting articles

Despite a clear warning from EdJohnston, quote "You may be blocked the next time you remove a filmography section from an article unless you have received a prior consensus on the article talk page." (permalink), a one-week block by Discospinster on 4 June that JJMC89 prolonged to a one-month block the following day you are back at splitting filmographies to stand-alone articles at a rate of c. one per day.

Please stop now! You are basically creating nothing but busywork for the rest of us.

Your lack of reply to my questions above (30 May and 10 June) suggests that you don't care much, but I'll be happy to mentor you and help you build an article from scratch, we could start with Draft:Khirer Putul (TV series) which is a very crude copy-paste of Khirer Putul (permalink).

Since none of your splits, as far as I can tell, comply with WP:PROPERSPLIT #4, please revisit every page below and add a filled-in {{copied}}, cf. WP:PROPERSPLIT #8 and Template:Copied/doc.

@Chatterjee95: The review of Draft:List of awards and nominations received by Tiger Shroff is well intended, but the matter of fact is that there is nothing to merge as your draft is just another split from Tiger Shroff.

Tiger Shroff is currently only 921 words, so there is no need for any splits. I have posted the link many times before, please read it: Wikipedia:Splitting.

You can also just take my word for it: please do not try to make any more article splits.

The draft is basically an attempt to re-create List of awards and nominations received by Tiger Shroff, which Fram redirected and which spurred their post at ANI, which in turn prompted El_C to block you. That alone should be a clear indication that you should not try to create the same split in draft space.

Your current unblock conditions includes "the nature of the problematic editing needs to be acknowledged alongside a commitment not to repeat it", but if you continue to make drafts that are article splits, basically continuing the editing you did in mainspace, you may risk seeing your current partial block from main space upgraded to an indefinite block again.
