Could you please check where this type of trap is mentioned in literature such as books and encyclopedias? Pretty interesting concept, couldn't find it outside of the specialised sources linked in the article.

Thank you for your help. I rearranged the article. I hope it now emphasizes the importance of the word 'salter' in historical research, rather than the workings of a deer trap. Though salter is the preferred word, the references in non-specialized sources can more often be found in searching as the less preferred 'saltatorium'. There is also a plant called 'saltatorium', so refining the search by adding 'deer' helps.
