July 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Dyson Airblade has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bfacebook\.com' (link(s): http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2391119143) .

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Your request to be an admin[edit]

If you want to be an admin, then may I suggest that you read some of the following:

There are no fixed criteria for adminship - you need to be able to show that you will make a good admin through your history. As a rough guide, my standards for adminship are here - I don't think that I am too far away from what the average editor is looking for!

Finally, you might want to read the essay Wikipedia:What adminship is not - being an admin does not make you a more important or senior editor... it really is a maintenance thing! If Wikipedia was a University, admins would not be students or professors, they would be the janitors. They are essential to the smooth running of Wikipedia, but not important in and of themselves - and in fact, it can be stressful to be an admin!

Anyway, I just thought I'd contact you, as I saw that your attempt to put your name forward was not correctly formed.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
