Button documentation

This is about button documentation, not a bug or feature request, so I'm putting it here. Let me know if I should move it.

Several of the images seem to be out-of-date:

2.3: the redirect button is now on the second line; the syntax button was moved elsewhere

2.4: the first column is now gone; the two upper-right icons were changed; the icon to the left of those is now gone

2.6: the 2 upper-right buttons are different

2.7: in the right-had button box, the Preview and Diff buttons are no longer present

Some table rows are also out-of-date:

2.3: Heading- is no longer present

2.6: Scroll up and Scroll buttons are different now; Source was replaced by Diff

2.7: Scroll buttons is no longer present

Can you clarify what the omega character does?

logo? what logo?

Subsection wikEd main switch, version info, and error indicator begins:

• The following wikEd logo is displayed at the top of the page next to the logout link.

Help for Regular Expressions

The external link to documentation for JavaScript Regular expressions seems to have been moved from:

to:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Core_JavaScript_1.5_Guide/Regular_Expressions

Thanks for this useful help page. The occasional term is formatted as a link (e.g. "external weblink"). I would like more of these. I know basic editing functions on Wikipedia and with conventional text editors (in-line citations, bold, underline, etc.) but links would help me learn about more that are mentioned here ("Redirect", etc.)

"Push" buttons?

it is not readily clear which gadgets do not make this extension work.

I cannot find this gadget on my edit box.

Mentioning double edit notice

Duplicated edit warnings

wikiEd displays duplicate edit notices on Userspace edit pages if a user have custom editnotice added. Example/test bug https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Σ/Editnotice

Cannot find logo in Vector (2022)

I activated this Gadget in my preferences, but I could not find the wikEd logo at top right of the page. So I followed the instructions under "Troubleshooting#widEd does not load". Still no joy. So in Preferences/Appearance I switched to Vector legacy, and then there was the icon as described, with full functionality. I then switched my preferences back to Vector (2022) and again I could not find the wikEd logo anywhere. I think that wikEd is still working, however. So, please update the instructions for Vector (2022), which is now the default. JMCHutchinson (talk) 11:17, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
