Your GA nomination of The Chosen (TV series)

The article The Chosen (TV series) you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:The Chosen (TV series) for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of David Fuchs -- David Fuchs (talk) 19:01, 31 December 2023 (UTC)

I think it's in the best interest of the article to put off GA nom until after the series has concluded. While there's generally an extended period between seasons, there still seems to be article instability as a result of new events. With that in mind, I'll wait until it concludes, rework accordingly, and consider a submission at that time. ButlerBlog (talk) 21:03, 1 January 2024 (UTC)

Discussion on the talk page of The Chosen (TV series)

Greetings. I discussed several matters regarding previous concerns, specifically the terminologies between apostles and disciples, and I ask you to get involved as well to corroborate the accuracy of the show's sequence. Here's the link: [1]. Thank you. Radiant Fellow (talk) 08:04, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

I did respond there. Just an FYI, if you ping me there, I will see it so there's no need to also post here - not that I'm saying "don't" post here - you certainly can if you need to - I'm just saying that I get a notification on both so it's not necessary for me to see it. (And usually, I subscribe to any TP discussions I'm involved in so I get notified of new responses anyway) ButlerBlog (talk) 14:59, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

I see not all their edits are reverted. Doug Weller talk 18:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

@Doug Weller: I think most, or maybe close to all, of them have been reverted. Some were manual rollbacks by @Nythar. I believe they're part of what BeyondMyKen has identified as the bad copyediting IP. Blocking will probably help for the timebeing, but they'll likely be back with a new IP in a week or so. ButlerBlog (talk) 18:51, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Most of what they do is overload the "see also" sections with every known related link and add a ton of wikilinks within the article (often ones that are not necessary). ButlerBlog (talk) 18:54, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. Doug Weller talk 20:15, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for looking at it. Asking them to register looks good - it would be great if they would do that. ButlerBlog (talk) 22:05, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Hatnote error

For some reason this AWB edit caused hatnote error. Had to fix it manually by moving it back in. If it's going to move those outside, the script/program should also delete the Template:Hatnote inline. --WikiLinuz (talk) 22:04, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know! That's strange - it looks like it was part of AWB's genfixes (which I generally leave turned on), and most of those are solidly vetted for accuracy. That may need to go to AWB's discussion (which I'll do). ButlerBlog (talk) 22:23, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

The Chosen

[2]? Not sure about this editor. Doug Weller talk 08:35, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

@Doug Weller: He started off as pretty much an SPA on this article, and he does edit war over his edits from time to time, but he hasn't really done that lately. I'm probably going to revert that edit as we decided some time ago that "main cast" for this show was top billing (opening credits). Everyone else was recurring or guest. Season 4 hasn't been released yet so we don't know what that ends up being. So we'll see what happens. ButlerBlog (talk) 12:45, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
Yes, thanks for your response. Doug Weller talk 13:38, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

Westerns!

Hi, I noticed that you are getting a taskforce on Westerns together! I work at the library at Brigham Young University. One of our archival collecting areas has historically been in Western films. Many Westerns were shot in Utah and we've done some work to add them to the category "films shot in Utah" and its sub-categories. I just wanted to let you know that if you have research needs for Westerns (especially if they have to do with Utah), we can probably offer some research support (like scanning a chapter of a book or magazine) for you or other editors on the taskforce. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 15:55, 25 January 2024 (UTC)

Thanks! I may take you up on that. The Westerns project as a whole encompasses film, television, literature, art, and some other areas, so the task force helps with identifying articles that are specific to film. Feel free to tag Western films that may not already be in the project or the task force. ButlerBlog (talk) 16:42, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
