Norse history and culture
Thank you for donating quality articles such as Rus' Khaganate and Kylfings, for starting the project Norse history and culture, for covering Israelite and Jewish history, for related images, - repeating: you are an awesome Wikipedian!
There are two WP:RFCs at WP:FOUR. The first is to conflate issues so as to keep people from expressing meaningful opinions. The second, by me, is claimed to be less than neutral by proponents of the first. Please look at the second one, which I think is much better.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 06:18, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from WikiProject Military history! As a member of the project, you are invited to take part in our annual project coordinator election, which will determine our coordinators for the next twelve months. I have nominated Rus' Khaganate for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Chaosdruid (talk) 01:44, 6 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Notification of automated file description generation[edit]
Your upload of File:Britannian runes.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.
This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Portal:Judaism/Information, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Judaism/Information and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Portal:Judaism/Information during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. ------ 02:19, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm doing a research. May you help me to find the sources of the "castles" in Georgia reported on this page?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gazaria_(Genoese_colonies)
Is the source a map? or a book?
if you prefer also by email duke.ottavio@hotmail.it
thank you! Matteo from Italy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.34.78.172 (talk) 00:08, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I just nominated an article you started in 2005. By way of common courtisy, i want you let you know personally. If you have sources supporting the claims made in the article, I would be most obliged if you let the readers know about them. Regards, Kleuske (talk) 14:40, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Briangotts/archive 2013-15. I wonder if you would be kind enough to spare me a couple of seconds of your time. My name is CharlieTheCabbie and I am active as a participant at the Malta WikiProject. I notice that you are listed as a member of the project. It appears to have been a long time since the project was active and, in the hope of fixing stuff, I am trying to hunt out all the editors who still interested in working on it. If you would be kind enough to go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Malta/Members and indicate whether you are still active or, if not, please move yourself to the Inactive Members section. Thank you for your help :) CharlieTheCabbie|paġna utenti|diskussjoni 16:58, 26 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Briangotts! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Cheers, —DerHexer(Talk) 11:12, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have noticed your sterling work on creating alternate history maps and am duly impressed. I have been working for some time now on improving the article on the 1907 dystopian novel Lord of the World by Monsignor Robert Hugh Benson. Using the novel and page citations, I have added a detailed description of the global borders as they exist at the beginning of the novel. Might I request the creation of a map? You are definitely the person to do so.Kingstowngalway (talk) 02:50, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the delay in response. I don't come on Wikipedia with any regularity anymore. I never heard of Lord of the World but it seems interesting. I will try to put together a map according to your specification but I can't guarantee prompt delivery. Briangotts(Talk)(Contrib) 23:27, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
