Disambiguation link notification for November 2[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Phil Short, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Daily Press (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

November 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Phil Short may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • 11181995_Legislative.html "Louisiana Secretary of State Official Election Results, 11/18/1995"]] "Louisiana.gov", Accessed November 4, 2013.</ref>

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:LEGAL Eagle (1).jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:LEGAL Eagle (1).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 02:47, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AfD[edit]

I have commented there, and you are free to do so yourself. It may be a good idea to mention that you are a new editor, and that this is your first article. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 02:52, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please see if any of these sources may help. Sportfan5000 (talk) 00:52, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Sportfan5000 - Thank you for your support and especially your encouragement! When Mr. Thargor rebutted the addition of the 8 articles that I cited yesterday, I went through the Google Scholar, Google Books, and the other search link(s) to locate more good references. I added 7 more - 2 scholarly books, an NGLTF Student Organizing Handbook, and 4 new Ambush Magazine articles. I suspect there are more out there, but I am up to about 50-something links (about 30 of which are individual and unique references from local to national newspapers and books), and I feel like I am starting to squeeze the orange rind dry! :) I am not sure that there is any more that I can do to noticeably improve the article. BrianThibodeaux (talk) 01:01, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry, I think it will safe. Sportfan5000 (talk) 01:03, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the help with the LEGAL logo. I was just telling someone today that I was going to have to figure out how to do that soon! BrianThibodeaux (talk) 01:37, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It took me several tries, but it should be fine now. The old page should be deleted, I'll take a look to doing that in a bit. Sportfan5000 (talk) 01:53, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing claims[edit]

Hi, you can't refer the source of any claim to Wikipedia itself as that's original research. Instead find the original source used in that other article and cite it directly. Sportfan5000 (talk) 02:08, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gotcha. I will look into that and see what was used - I suspect maybe something that I may have already cited. Thanks again, Sportfan5000! BrianThibodeaux (talk) 04:11, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

John H. Donnelly moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, John H. Donnelly, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CommanderWaterford (talk) 18:29, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: John H. Donnelly has been accepted[edit]

John H. Donnelly, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as Stub-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. It is commonplace for new articles to start out as stubs and then attain higher grades as they develop over time. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!
