It is famous for Amba mata dam, rivers, forest, hills and Thakur Amar singh Tanwar1 it is jagiri village of Tanwar Rajput. Thakur Tej singh tanwar granted jangir of Boraj Tanwaran in 1876AD (V.S.1933) by Rawat jodh singh chundawat of salumbar. Thikana Boraj Tanwaran fully established by thakur Amar singh Tanwar.

सलुम्बर में तँवरो का बलिदान

रावत भीमसिंह कालीन एक पट्टा व दो ताम्र पत्र प्राप्त होते है ,एक पट्टा तँवर गुलजी (गुलाबसिंह )के नाम का संवत १८५५ आषद सूद तीज का है,यह पट्टा रावत भीमसिंह की और से उसके पूर्वज के बलिदान पर मिला। जब सलुम्बर को लूटने के लिए मराठा सरदार होलकर की सेना चढ़ आई थी,तब तंवर खानदान के राजपूतो की टुकड़ी को उन्हें रोकने के लिए भेजा ,जिसमे तंवर राजपूत लड़ते हुए कम आये। उनके इस शोर्यपूर्ण कार्य का मूल्यांकन रावत ने इस तरह किया की जितनी दुरी तक युद्ध में गोडे दोड़े ,उतने क्षेत्रफल के गाँव उन्हें इनाम के तोर पर जागीर में दिए गए। इस प्रकार रावत भीमसिंह ने अपने इस सरदार के वंशज गुलजी तंवर को तीन गाँव (रेट हांड़ी ,दिएला ,रेबरियोवाली मओदी की जागीर दी ,इस युद्ध में तीन तंवर ठकुराइन सती हुई। इन तंवर ठाकुरो के देव स्थान और तीनो तंवर ठकुराइन की समाधी सलूम्बर तालाब के पास बानी हुए हे।जो अब पूरी तरह जर्जर हो चुकी हे।

विरमदेव तँवर

रावत जोधसिंह के समय सलुम्बर का फोजदार गुमानसिंह खरवर था। यह नाटे कद का सरदार था इसलिए इसे घोड़े पर चड़ने के लिए सीढ़ी रखनी पड़ती थी। यह वीर योद्धा था। दलेलसिंह तंवर का पुत्र विरमदेव तंवर बड़ा पराक्रमी और निशानेबाज योद्धा हुआ जो उड़ते हुए पक्षी पर बन्दुक से निशाना साधता था। उसके लिए राजा ने उन्हें एक बन्दुक भेट की. एक बार रावत का घोडा बेकाबू हो गया था जिसे विरमदेव ने काबू में किया,इसपर रावत ने उसे २०० रूपये नकद पुरुस्कार में दिए यही नहीं यह सरदार नट विधा में बड़ा प्रवीण था। जब दशहरे के दिन रावत की सवारी निकलती थी तब यह सवारी के दोरान घोड़े पर उल्टा बैठकर निकलता था। गणगोर के पर्व पर बल्लम द्वारा भैंसे (पाडा )का वध करता था। विरमदेव तँवर ने आदिवासी के विद्रोह को दबाया,जो राजा को टैक्स नहीं दे रहे थे. राजा ने गवदा की जागीर देने का वादा किया था,लेकिन राजा ने ऐसा नहीं किया जिस से नाराज होकर विरमदेव बम्बोरा के राजा के पास चले गए।

Amar singh was son of thakur anop singh tanwar of sathpur and adopted by thakur kanwar singh tanwar of Boraj Tanwaran. Has three sons:-

1 . Pratap singh tanwar 2. Chattar singh tanwar 3. Himmat singh tanwar Thakur Amar singh Tanwar - Boraj Tanwaran was established by Amar singhji tanwar. Amar singhji tanwar was a great socialiser and social worker. He had a great knowledge about SANSKRIT language,many professior used to come to him to learn sanskrit language and amar singhji educated only 2 class. He also wrote a letter to indra Gandhi in sanskrit for amba mata dam.he was famouse for AMBA MATA DAM, amba mata dam is given by amar singhji , they approched to prime minister but amba mata dam project was not passed. Amar singhji spent all the money for amba mata dam.After that in 1983 this projoct was started,1/3 part of this project is completed but in 1983 due to heavy rainfall all the materials and machines were flooded away and DAM was badly destroyed. After that amar singhji familly became a very poor because already all the jangidari was taken by congress govt and adiwasis.after this unsuccessfully job amar singhji swore an oath not to take rest,not to wear shoes and cut hair ,until this DAM is not completed. End of his life of 11 years they did not wear shoes and not take rest.after the dath of amar singhji, amba mata dam is completed in 2005

• THAKUR GULAB SINGH SINGH TANWAR-Gulji tanwar granted jangir of ret,hadi,deeila ---and rebariya wali maodi village in V.S.1855(1798AD ---) by rawat bheem singh chundawat of salumbar after sacrifice of purvaj of gulji tanwar,after war against holkar(maratha) ---during rawat pahad singh chundawat of salumbar. All the Tanwar army were killed in this war.

• THAKUR RAGUNATH SINGH TANWAR-he granted jangir of dadra village in 1800AD(V.S.1857) by rawat bhawani singh chundawat of salumbar.

• THAKUR BHEEM SINGH TANWAR- He granted jangir of kellai village in V.S.1882(1825AD ---) by rawat padam singh chundawat of salumbar,this jangir was again taken by rawat jodh singh chundawat.

• THAKUR RAI SINGH TANWAR-He granted jangir of gavada,sarvadi and ven in 1868AD(V.S.1925). During this Salumbar Rawat permitted to Tanwar Thakur to judgment and Punish to any one.so one jail was also built in Tanwar pol(old house of Tanwar)

Genealogical information etc

I see that you have, again, added the genealogy to the page. I cannot see how this is relevant, plus the fact that it is poorly sourced. Village map coordinates

One reason the page was first deleted was that we cannot prove the village exists. Another editor tried to find it on a map, but could not. I also tried to find it, and I could not find it.

• Do you have exact map coordinates for the village, as there appear to be several villages or hamlets "... east of Salumbar ... ". If we can locate it exactly, then finding information about it might be easier. 220 of ^Borg 08:53, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
