Admin help requested

Hi - I put a QD tag on the page Michael Halleran because Mr Halleran contacted me and requested that his page be deleted for privacy reasons. Is it possible to get this done ASAP? Articles are not deleted on the basis of whether the subject wants an article about themselves or not. In the very least I would recommend taking it to WP:AFD under WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE but it cannot be speedily deleted. Mkdw^talk 05:53, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

Actually when it's a bio of a living person, they can be deleted for precisely that reason, according to Wikipedia's own policy; see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Deletion_of_biographies_and_BLPs and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons#Deletion_of_BLPs_of_relatively_unknown_subjects . Admin help requested, part 2

I have tried numerous times to add the RfD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Michael_Halleran_%282nd_nomination%29 to the AfD log https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2015_December_8 using the instructions here in step III: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion#Nominating_article.28s.29_for_deletion The line that I entered for it in the log looks just the same as all the other articles listed, but it doesn't appear in the TOC nor does the relevant section underneath the TOC have a proper title. I'm not sure what I did wrong, I followed all the directions very carefully. Help?

 Fixed. It wasn't a second nomination, so the AfD page is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Halleran, and it is properly listed in today's AfD log. Wikilinking

A tip: to make a "wikilink" to another page, you don't need to give the full URL, you can just type the page name within double square brackets. So typing [[Michael Halleran]] gives Michael Halleran. That works for all kinds of pages, not just articles. JohnCD (talk) 16:00, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

You have to include the namespace, eg. "Wikipedia:" or "User talk:" as applicable. [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Halleran]] gives Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Halleran. If you do Show preview and it shows as a redlink, you have mistyped something. You can use a "pipe" character | to make the link show as something else: [[Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Halleran|the AfD page]] shows as the AfD page but gives the same link. My wife's first name is "Beth Ellyn" and, even though it would benefit me politically, I was not actually born in Lawrence Kansas, I moved there early in childhood. It is my home town and by some definitions I'm a "native", but... not by birth.

Disambiguation support request

While working on article Islamic advice literature I realized that word 'Qisas' is appearing in different meaning at Qisas Al-Anbiya it comes as story/anecdote telling (alternative spelling Kissa). And in article named Qisas seems to come as revenge. Need support in creating proper disambiguation page and links so reader do not end up in unexpected pages.

Of course article Islamic advice literature too needs support in update and expansion since lot of scholarly references are available in books and google scholar too.

McRaven never commanded DEVGRU. Your source is from his time as Commander of Joint Special Operations Command, and in that Capacity there was a subordinate Commander of DEVGRU underneath him.
