Sylvia Young Theatre School[edit]

Hi. I'm aware that you have been running a long campaign to get "Sean Borg" added (as an ex-student) to the Sylvia Young Theatre School article. Please understand that there are standards for inclusion in the Wikipedia article, and it must be that way else every student who went to the school (or claimed to have gone to the school) would want to add their name to the article—which is something that would dilute the people who deserve to be in the article (and which would create an unnecessarily lengthy article). I'm curious if you have asked yourself why the school has not listed you on its own Ex-Students' web site? If so, I'm hoping that you can appreciate that Wikipedia also has standards for inclusion?
Here are the guidelines that local consensus has determined are required for inclusion: to be listed on the school's Ex-Students page, and/or to have references from reliable secondary sources that demonstrate attendance at the school. Those references should be sufficient to prove notability to a level that would warrant the creation of a Wikipedia article (as has been done for everyone else listed at the school's article).
Please respect Wikipedia's policies and the achievements of the other people listed at the article, and cease your campaign. All that will happen if you continue is that you will be continually reverted, the page will probably be protected, and any account that you use (such as this one) will eventually be blocked from editing.
I would like nothing more than for "Sean Borg" to be included in the article, however that will not happen unless you find a way to adhere to the standards for inclusion that have been determined by consensus.

  • I would underline what GFHandel has very courteously told you. Unless sources can be found, there is no prospect of this information being included. If you edit war to add the information I will block you. Please do not let us go down that road. --John (talk) 20:18, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sean Borg, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:07, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Blogville. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sean Borg".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sean Borg}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 23:19, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
