Busabout Wagga Wagga

In Busabout Wagga Wagga you have managed to delete a valid cite and reinstate a dead one without ANY valid reason.Mo7838 (talk) 12:34, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

Just because the source is "dead", doesn't mean that you can remove content, add content that isn't supported and give a false edit summary for the edit made! Bidgee (talk) 14:04, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
A couple of points:
1) If a source is "dead", as your source is, and cannot be traced through the Wayback Machine, then best to seek an alternative source that validates the text. This was done by adding: http://www.busaboutwagga.com.au/about.html
2) What was false about the edit summary of 'tidy up'? That is exactly what was done.
3) Then there is the poor grammar and typos you have reinstated
i) Fearnes Coaches originally began general carriers and charter bus operator - should be began as and as a charter bus
ii) founded by William Fearne and William Borlase in 1916; however William Borlase pulled out - should read either Borlase pulled out or the latter pulled out, names shouldn't be repeated in full in the one sentence
iii) By 1929 William Fearne created the first route - routes are started, not created. By should read In
iv) timetable in Wagga Wagga which started between the Wagga suburb of Turvey Park - Wagga twice in one sentence should read ...between the suburb of Turvey Park
v) which was extended to North Wagga Wagga - should read ...which was later extended
vi) William Fearne, brought the company in 1936 - brought should read bought
vii) Garry Fearne, who was a pioneer in the coach industry - bit of an overstatement, he ran the business for 7 years and as far as I am aware didn't start anything pioneering, a stretch putting him in the same class as Reg Ansett, Jack McCafferty or Russell Penfold
viii) to his wife Audrey - should read widow
ix) 5 December 2008 - sentences never begin with number or dates
x) which had been locally owned for over 92 years by the Fearnes family - repeat of Fearne history discussed above, Fearnes should read Fearne
xi) and was rebranded to Busabout Wagga Wagga - should read was rebranded as
xii) founded in 1916 & 2008, companies cannot be founded twice
These have been corrected again, can you please not reinstate. If you feel aggrieved, seek a Wikipedia:Third opinion.Mo7838 (talk) 12:21, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

RfC:Infobox Road proposal

WP:AURD (Australian Roads), is inviting comment on a proposal to convert Australian road articles to {{infobox road}}. Please come and discuss. The vote will be after concerns have been looked into.

You are being contacted as a user who participated in previous discussions proposing the deletion of {{infobox Australian road}}, this RfC does not propose that.

Discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is User:Bidgee. Thank you. -- Nbound (talk) 14:50, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Help Needed

Hi Bidgee, I have been attempting to report User:49.176.7.125 who emerged after User:49.176.37.17 was blocked for sock-puppetry, to re-start image edit wars on Melbourne and Gentrification . For some reason my TW script is failing. It has notified the User, but not admin. If you have time and can be bothered, you might want to try making the report. Regards Flat Out Let's discuss it 06:59, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Tried it again at home and it worked fine. Best wishes, Flat Out Let's discuss it 08:34, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Reverted edit on southern hemisphere tornado page

Is the source provided (http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/18341002) not sufficient? Or needs to be correctly referenced to the newspaper article rather than the webpage? Or is another 'more reliable' source required? Trex21 (talk) 00:39, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

I didn't realise that you did in fact cite it with a source. Though you'll note that there is a "Cite" tab at http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/18341002 which gives you the "Wikipedia citation". Bidgee (talk) 01:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
No problems. Hadn't noticed that on the Trove page, so I'll know for next time :-) Trex21 (talk) 02:06, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

All good

All good Bidgee... Ive got mentions enabled so I knew as soon as you posted, i do appreciate you letting me know nonetheless :). -- Nbound (talk) 13:18, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Canberra Capitals logo.svg)

Thanks for uploading File:Canberra Capitals logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:44, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

You've been reported.

I have reported you to the Abuse Response Community / Help Desk and currently have three administrators reviewing my case. Yes, I'm blocked, but you have blocked accounts that aren't me and reverted edits that weren't nonconstructive, therefore you are likely going to face a block yourself if the all three administrators can find sufficient evidence of edit warring. 60.231.212.97 (talk) 04:24, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

You've threatened that before and nothing happened. You're a serial sock and block evader, you will need to follow the correct channels (WP:UNBLOCK) if you're wanting to become a Wikipedia editor along with following the policies and guidelines that are in place. My reverts/undo are supported per WP:3RRNO and WP:EVADE. Bidgee (talk) 04:53, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
I've done one block, but I need you to provide a little more detail on your SPI case.—Kww(talk) 05:44, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Seeing as you've reverted the infobox image change, I'm interested in hearing your views on the matter. Harryboyles 16:59, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi,

Regarding your message:

"To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors."

There is a lengthy explanation on at talk:Charles Darwin Reserve as to why the images do not meet relevant guidelines for inclusion. I am following guidelines for discussion. The person "edit warring" and ignoring guidelines here is user:Maias who is repeatedly inserting these irrelevant and misleading images into the article, without justifying this on the talk page. He has repeatedly ignored addressing the points made to him, he admits that the images are "less than ideal", and the only thing he can argue is that an appallingly bad image is worse than no image at all. Wikipedia's guidelines disagree on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.124.83 (talkcontribs) 12:38, 29 June 2013

Regardless of User:Maias' use of "unrelated" photographs, it takes two to tango (edit war)! In this case you were the latest to violate/breach the three revert rule. Use the talk page of the article and if that still doesn't work, then follow the dispute process. Bidgee (talk) 12:45, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Well, I want to discuss content. I have not violated the 3 revert rule, and I'll be careful not to. I note however you haven't threatened User:Maias with any of this, when you acknowledge that his behavior is part of the problem here (a bit of an underassessment of his behaviour, IMHO). I note also that I am using the talk page, have tried to be reasonable with User:Maias in spite of his unreasonable behaviour and will if necessary take this utterly stupid argument to "dispute resolution". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.124.83 (talkcontribs) 15:06, 29 June 2013
Yes you have violated the three revert rule by edit warring, User:Maias has been close but hasn't reverted (I'm sure they should know what the 3RR is and shouldn't need to be reminded). Your part of the problem as well by failing to assuming good faith and failing to recognise that did in fact edit war. Bidgee (talk) 04:32, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
