Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wikilover2604, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Advice[edit]

Greetings! You were looking for advice about improving Draft:Buchalter. There are a number of things that can be worked on, of course, but let's start as the beginning, which is notability. Notability is the one thing an article must have to be included in the mainspace, and the lack of it is the primary reason that articles are deleted. It is important to note that here on Wikipedia, notability is not determined by things like "fame" or "has done important stuff," but rather by the nontrivial coverage of the subject in reliable, independent sources. I see you have cited the LA Times, which is good, but not enough on its own. First of all, we want to have more than just one source in order to establish notability. The other problem is that the coverage you have provided is trivial; the articles are not about the law firm itself, but are instead obituaries for some of its one-time members. This looks promising, for example. It's about the firm itself, it's from an independent source, and it is (presumably) reliable. But you will need more than that. Can you find some other sources? My Google search didn't turn up much, but you may be able to find more. You can also check in print sources, which I won't have access to. Compassionate727 (T·C) 00:33, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
