The article Martin Levan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Disambiguation link notification for November 26[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Marti Webb, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Regent Theatre. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Magic of the Musicals requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Nomination of The Magic of the Musicals for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article The Magic of the Musicals is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Magic of the Musicals until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. JDDJS (talk) 23:04, 29 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I can see that you've spent a considerable amount of time creating starting that article and now it's tagged for speedy deletion and all your efforts will go to the dustbin just like that. Just add references on the article, I will categorise it and we can remove that speedy deletion tag. Bobbyshabangu talk 03:27, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cover versions[edit]

Please read WP:SONGCOVER which sets quite a high bar for inclusion of cover versions in song articles. The guideline says the cover version must be discussed in the literature which is written about the song, not about the cover artist. Generally, editors have settled upon the following rules: Cover versions are important enough if they include at least one of the original musicians, if they have charted, if they have been released as a single, or if there is a whole lot of press about the cover version. That means we don't list unremarkable album tracks from otherwise notable artists. Binksternet (talk) 21:30, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Let me bring this again to your attention, Audacityne, since I see you continuing the same kinds of actions. For years now I've been going around trimming cover versions to comply with the guideline but you are working in the other direction. Remember WP:NOT, that is, Wikipedia is not a repository for every single bit of information out there. To properly convey a topic's information to the reader, in many cases less is more. Let's just put the important cover versions into articles, and have less of the unremarkable cover versions. Binksternet (talk) 23:25, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Magic from the Musicals[edit]

Hello Audacityne,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Magic from the Musicals for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

You're probably not aware but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. The massive amount of material you added to July 12 did not have any direct sources so your change has been reverted. Please do not restore it without providing direct reliable sources. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Trial of Christine Keeler, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Attorney General of the United Kingdom. Help request for geolocation old photos from Whitley Bay or nearby[edit]

Hi! I'm trying define geolocation for set of 1970-th photos taken by Victor Albert Grigas (1919-2017).
During his UK trip in 1970-71, he shot set of photos with label "North Sea". You may seen these by this next search prompt.

Some photos was defined and geolocated in Whitley Bay. And may be some others taken in this place or nearby (on the way in or on the way out).
As example this house may be in Whitley Bay (the house was caught in a few photos), but I couldn't find it - maybe it's been demolished.

Or this interesting photo also may be shot in Whitley Bay, but i'm also couldn't find this place in contemporary "Google street views".

Maybe you'd like to help me or tell someone else about these photos? Kaganer (talk) 18:58, 17 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You're correct that this is in Whitley Bay. The row of hotels and cafe were demolished in 2001. The main road has since been re-routed through the park, and the site redeveloped into apartments. You can see the boundaries of the park in this Google Street View from April 2009, between the demolition and the road changes.
There's also a mention of the Willow Cafe in this article.
I'll look at how to geolocate that photo and have a look through the rest of the collection! Audacityne (talk) 15:43, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In my opinion, at the right side of photo we seen this round plate (with some pavillion), and these buildings was places in other side of road. Kaganer (talk) 20:02, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. And to add to the context, I think the building you can see the edge of to the right, is the circular shelter with the terracotta colour pointed roof in the centre of the background of this photo of Park Avenue. Audacityne (talk) 20:27, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. This puzzle has come together! But there are other interesting photos out there ;) Kaganer (talk) 23:25, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Very thanks! I'm in contacts with a @Victorgrigas that a initial uploader of these photos into Flickr and Commons, but he don't know more that a written. Kaganer (talk) 19:49, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
