License tagging for Image:Josipa-karlo1.jpg[edit]
Thanks for uploading Image:Josipa-karlo1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Thanks for uploading Image:Josipa-karlo1.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. Two pictures in the article about Josipa Lisac[edit]
Hello;
I would like to inquire your help with this page I made about Josipa Lisac, the Croatian singer. About a month ago, I've updated her biography and put 2 more pictures, which your program removed. One of them had the copyright information and the other one didn't, due to my own mistake. Since both of these pictures are used from the official site and with a permission, I would appreciate if you would help me tag them correctly, so they could be put on the page once again. - Since the images have been deleted, I can't do anything about it. You should ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions: there are a few administrators who watch that page who can undelete the images if needed. --Carnildo 07:27, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
I can help with this. I've just re-deleted your uploads. The reason is that at Wikipedia, we require that contributions be compatible with the GFDL. Images uploaded here must be images that can be freely modified, and used for any purpose (including commercial purposes), so long as the license of any derivative works is still compatible with the GFDL. If you are willing to license the image under the GFDL, or release them into the public domain, or license them under a creative commons license that doesn't prohibit non-commercial use or derivative works, feel free to upload them again and tag them as such, as long as you really have the authority to do that. (If you do, it would be helpful to send an email to permissions(at)wikipedia.org from an email address associated with the site to back up your authority). Mangojuicetalk 15:36, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Picture you deleted[edit]
The problem was that all the image summary said was "The picture used with a permission from the official site of Josipa Lisac." This is not good enough for Wikipedia. You need an e-mail or letter from someone at the Lisac official site with the authority to grant permission to use the image under the GFDL license. The text of the correspondence must be very specific and state that they "release under GFDL" (or some other free license). The letter must also have contact information (e-mail or phone or both), so the release can be verified. The text of the correspondence with contact info. then needs to be posted on the talk page for reference. - Yeah same here, you claimed the image was licensed under the GFDL licnse, but the source website you pointed to makes no mention of this license and we need an explicit release from the copyrgiht holder in order to license something as GFDL or any other free license. "permission to use on Wikipedia" is not a free license and it's defenently not the same as GFDL.
