Final ranking or Final classification

In other articles of different sports, some use Final Ranking. Final classification is not appropriate for me. In the FIH website they use Final Standings, which would be the most clear in my opinion.--M&m89 (talk) 12:43, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

FIH shows it in two different ways. Here uses Ranking and here uses Standings. I checked it and in every event website, FIH uses Final Standing. I'd go with that. What do you think?.--M&m89 (talk) 13:03, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

Undone corrections to Superseries Finals articles

Much of my work correcting the titles of the BWF World Superseries Finals articles have been undone with the comment 'Move page title without discussion'. Category moves

I have reverted myself on further thought. I don't see anything wrong with the edits per se - as I say, the article can be moved to conform to the category. Need advice regarding a disruptive editor.

Aleen, I need your help/advice in dealing with Ghosteditr (talk), who is indulging in disruptive editing. He has reverted my same edit around one dozen times at the 2016 Syed Modi GPG. The edit was pertaining to addition of a piped link to the main article, which is the norm. He had done the same with my edit to the 2016 Thailand Masters GPG.

He is reverting edits directly or using five IP addresses of University of Malaya, namely 103.18.0.16 (talk), 103.18.0.17 (talk), 103.18.0.18 (talk), 103.18.0.19 (talk) & 103.18.0.20 (talk). These five IP addresses are working in tandem with Ghosteditr (talk).

It is noteworthy that Ghosteditr's account appeared a day after the permanent blockage of Jarmur's account. A close inspection of the editing history of Ghosteditr & Jarmur will indicate that they might be the same person.

Badminton

Aleenf1,

I have played and watched badminton for a very long time, and I can say that I know a lot about the sport. I made the edits I did because it would improve the quality of the page. For example, badminton has been in the Olympics since 1992, so it is disgraceful to only call it a recreational sport. And your comment about drop shots, I know how that works too. Professional players can hit the shuttlecock with a lot of spin to make it drop into the front court at a sharp angle.

Rio 2016 Broadcasters

Hi there, may I kindly know why my edit has been reverted? While it is true that MediaCorp will be airing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2016 Summer Olympics, Okto has been the only free-to-air channel in Singapore that is permitted to air major sporting events. Since the introduction of Sports on Okto in May 2014, the channel has aired many events such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Opening Match + 2 Semifinals + Final), 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, 2014 Asian Games, 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup, 2015 Southeast Asian Games, 2015 ASEAN Para Games as well as the annual Swimming World Cup. Since 2015, broadcasting rights for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix has also been handed over to Okto. MediaCorp Channel 5 has stopped airing sporting events in order to focus on providing more local contents for all Singaporean TV viewers as part of the Local Upsize. Hi there, first of all I would like to apologise to you and user 'NgYShung' for the editing 'war' a few weeks back. I'm new on Wikipedia so I had no idea I could communicate through this method. As I saw my edits were continuously deleted, I just felt really unjustified as I was just trying to update the page and even warned about it. Anyways regarding his title, 'Dato I think even his social media handler could be misinformed, but I have checked that the post-nominal letter he received from the Governor of Penang indeed carries the title 'Datuk' instead. Apparently, only states with a Sultan can award the title 'Dato and states with a head of state will confer a 'Datukship' instead. Lee Chong Wei

I have no idea why you reverted a perfectly valid source. In two separate places the article mentioned he was conferred PJN - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V conferring the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN), which carries the title Datuk, to Lee Chong Wei (below the image) and he and squash ace Nicol David were conferred the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN), so what exactly are you arguing? I hope you read carefully what I wrote, and what the source says, instead of arguing a non-existent point. It is not based on an image (and BTW if you can't see the image, then I suggest there is something wrong with your browser), the wording is in the caption of the image, and the "he" in the main text clearly refers to Lee (read the preceding paragraph). In case of your principle in using your reason, i doubt it. These include the Andorra case which you insist it will share with France Televisions, however prove it is wrong. I'm adding it back because it shown inside the official IOC list, not because you are right or wrong. The Puerto Rico is not shown inside the IOC list, yet you use a ridiculous reason to include it. France Television is a FTA channel in Andorra, is received through DTT. Here is the wikipedia article Televisió Digital Terrestre. Andorra is a parliamentary co-principality with the President of France and the Catholic Bishop of Urgell (Catalonia, Spain) as Co-Princes. Learning a little more does not hurt. Because of historical links and close geographic proximity they receive Spanish channels (25% of the population is Spanish) and also Portuguese channels (16% of population).

In the Rio 2016 IOC list, TVE and France TV appeared as official broadcasters of the games in Andorra. That's because all the sports rights acquired by Spanish and French channels are also valid for Andorra. Here is the list of Champions League and FIFA World Cup Broadcasters [1] [2] The same happens with Puerto Rico.

The fact that France TV and DMAX do not appear on the IOC list does not mean that they will not broadcast the games in Andorra. The IOC list is not 100% reliable, some channels that will broadcast the games do not appear, such as BHRT (Bosnia), BNT (Bulgaria), TVR Moldova, TLN Canada, RTRK Kazakhstan, MRT Macedonia, etc.

You should also use common sense or do you think that SBS broadcasts the Olympic Games in North Korea and that the channel is available in that country?
