Please do not remove reliably-sourced content from an article on false pretenses. If you have a concern about the sourcing, discuss it on the article's talk page. ... discospinster talk 23:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This information is inaccurate, poorly sourced and defamatory. Sent on behalf of the person in question. You can't allow information that isn't true to be your source and on your respected platform. If you want to write a biography page on someone ask for info from the person themself and reputable sources. Aj Lib (talk) 00:02, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please explain which sources are not reputable on the talk page. Also see WP:OWN - the subject of the article does not get to dictate the content. ... discospinster talk 00:06, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
1. She was in a different branch of government than Mr. Taylor
2. She didn't ever have a house in Osu, Accra.
3. She didn't have any sister that lived in Ghana .
4. She is a well-known Liberian figure that many Liberians look up to and respect, painting her as a villain to the international community using incorrect information is defaming.
Also there are so much more within that are incorrect.
If need be we can formally write to overturn the restriction on editing then and maybe even present an accurate info page on her. Let me know if that's possible, thank you Aj Lib (talk) 00:21, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not how Wikipedia works. You need to demonstrate that the sources used on the page are inaccurate, instead of just deleting and making unsourced claims that they should be removed. Currently, it seems like it's just your opinion that the information is incorrect. GraziePrego (talk) 00:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
To begin, we apologise for straight out deleting the information regarding Grace Minor's career but using wikipedia that allows for edit we thought we were at liberty to edit out the falsehoods right away. To name a few, It is not an opinion that she didn't have a house in Osu but a fact, it is not an opinion that she wasn't second in command to Mr Taylor as a senate protempore it is a fact because that's not how the Liberian government hierarchy works,it is not an opinion that she displaced 250 families but rather was a fact that she fairly won a land case in the highest court in Liberia against illegal squatting on her land from persons that never reached close to 250, it is not an opinion that she doesn't have a sister in Ghana or an actual sister at all, it is a fact. I don't know how you want me to justify her not having a house or a sister unless you want me to give birth certificates and land documents. Like you said , it's Wikipedia, the same way people can just edit career information on a living person falsely, others can come and edit it if it turns out to be a lie. With time we would provide sources from legal and reputable means to back our claims but until then false information can't be the forefront of searching someone's name. Thank you for the needed education . Aj Lib (talk) 16:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The current content is sourced, so you would need to supply something better than your word that the content is inaccurate. GraziePrego (talk) 01:12, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've blocked the article, but consider yourself lucky that you weren't blocked. From here on out, you need to discuss your proposed changes on the talk page, or you will be blocked from editing altogether. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 00:58, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for doing so and for also educating us on how situations like this should be handled. From here on out we will use the talk page to address issues like this, we thought the same way people can add to pieces, people can also take from pieces if they are false but that needs proof. Going forward we will do just that and find means to prove falsehoods since the word of the person being defamed might not really be enough. Aj Lib (talk) 16:49, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Who is "we"? See WP:SHAREDACCOUNT. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 16:52, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We are the family and representatives of Grace Minor. The point we are just trying to make is the integrity and the backing of the sources used to support those points and many more are not credible because if you use newspapers and or non peer reviewed articles (Ghana Web, The New Dawn and Front Page Africa) that we all know can be opinionative to back a point as a source then it shouldn't be a reputable or credible one. We are having a professional look at it and will rebuttal any inaccurate information in due time with our sources as well, Thank you. Aj Lib (talk) 17:08, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
