Thanks for uploading Image:AMSSOrganisationalStructure small.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hello! In reply to your question, we delete material which is copied from another source both to protect ourselves and the rights holders. Since all content on Wikipedia is released under the GNU Free Documentation License, we wish to make sure that anyone who is the authorized rights-holder does indeed understand that the material will be GFDL-released by posting here, and what that would mean. That means, among other things, that any images, logos, or text so released would then be usable by anyone without any further permission from you or your organization, either on or off Wikipedia, so long as they follow the GFDL's terms. (We do not accept permission-for-Wikipedia-only text, though under some circumstances we will accept an image under those circumstances, if it meets our fair use policy. Generally we will allow an organization's logo under fair use, especially if the organization in question explicitly states they do not mind.) As I do not personally have a means to verify your identity, I cannot restore the material at this time.
However, it is generally better to write an article about the organization based on published sources which meet our reliable source guidelines, and are independent of the organization. Normally, an organization's own material tends to be promotional of that organization, and of course while one would expect that, we require that all articles be written in a neutral tone and non-promotional manner. If little or no independent source material exists regarding the organization, it is probably not an appropriate subject for an article. Of course, an article so written also doesn't require any release of copyright for any of your organization's material.
If you do still wish to release any material under the GFDL for use in the article, the easiest way to do so would be to post a notice on your organization's site, or the page(s) you wish to release, explicitly stating what material is so released. In that case, we can be assured that the organization has indeed authorized licensing the material under that license.

- In this specific case, while it may seem logical that you would simply be able to grant permission for the material to be used on Wikipedia, that's actually not the case. First, we do ask that you verify your identity, and that you are authorized to do this on behalf of your organization. (You wouldn't want just anyone to be able to come along and claim to release your copyright!) You can contact info-en-o@wikimedia.org if you genuinely do wish to release any material under the GFDL, and they are equipped to verify your identity and make sure you are indeed authorized to do so. However, we do require that material posted here have a GFDL release, not just "permission for Wikipedia." A main goal of our project is to build a free-content encyclopedia, and that doesn't just mean "free of charge". It also means "the content here should be free for others to reuse and modify, for any purpose, including commercial purposes, by anyone, without specifically needing to ask permission from anyone." In fact, the GFDL specifically requires that material licensed under it be free in this way, and remain free in perpetuity. As in more than one case someone has wished to license content for use "on Wikipedia only", and has not understood the full ramifications of releasing under the GFDL (anyone, anywhere, can copy, reuse, or modify the material, and must only attribute it to its original source), we like to make sure that it's very clear before accepting any such release. - The material would need to be edited, so that it's neutral, and you would also need to demonstrate the organization's notability by using reliable sources which were published independently of the organization. If such independent sourcing is available, and are willing to release the material under the GFDL, the copied material can certainly be restored as a starting point. (You may also wish to read our guidelines regarding editing articles on subjects you're closely affiliated with.) Once you email OTRS, let them know that you have material you wish to provide a GFDL release for, and a volunteer there will get back to you and let you know what they need in terms of verification.
