Speedy deletion of Riktam Technologies[edit]

A tag has been placed on Riktam Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notability of Riktam Technologies[edit]

A tag has been placed on Riktam Technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 09:32, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have left a comment on the talk page for you. --Chris 09:52, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:06, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Riktam Technologies[edit]

Riktam Technologies, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Riktam Technologies satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Riktam Technologies and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Riktam Technologies during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Mushroom (Talk) 15:25, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been speedy deleted twice, rightfully, under CSD A7 (of which you are already familiar). Do not recreate it. Your comparison to other IT companies is false - -Satyam Computer Services Ltd. has 1.4 billion USD in revenue, which clearly makes it a notable company. I'm sorry if your definition of "notable" differs from ours, but it's important that we protect Wikipedia from being used as a platform to advertise non-notable companies. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 15:35, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information provided. It is great to know that Notability is dependent on Revenues. Thanks you once again. No, will not put up content again.
