February 2020[edit]

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this IP address or network has been used to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.
If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance.
Wikipedia tries to be open, but we sometimes must block IP addresses to prevent editing by abusers, vandals, or block evaders. These blocks can affect users who have done nothing wrong. If you are a legitimate user, follow the instructions below to edit despite the block. Users who are the intended target of a range block may still appeal the block.

IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.

Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

May 2020[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Armageddon (1998 film), please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. Categories must also be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 03:40, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

June 2020[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Dick in a Box. Stop adding unsupported categories. Binksternet (talk) 00:48, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Finding Forrester; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 16:26, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon Do not use multiple IP addresses to disrupt Wikipedia, like you did at Bodies (Drowning Pool song). Such attempts to avoid detection or circumvent the blocking policy will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You are edit warring using multiple IPs including Special:Contributions/98.182.134.231. Binksternet (talk) 21:44, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll have you know that Remove Kebab was in fact a meme, as too with Bodies and Lose Yourself. Did you forget that there were countless YouTube remixes and videos from these songs?--70.173.17.198 (talk) 21:46, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 3 months for fait accompli actions, unresponsive and bot-like mass editing during a content dispute (see WP:Dispute resolution for less disruptive alternatives).
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:26, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.

Request reason:

My block was inherently unjustified.

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 00:01, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is _______. For the record, I tried turning off VPN, that doesn't even work. 70.173.17.198 (talk) 21:20, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In that case, you either did not do it properly or did not wait the full 24 hours. Again, this IP address is not blocked. Yamla (talk) 21:31, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
