Hi I would like to create a page for a celebrity. can you please guide the steps. Thanks --Wkn96 (talk) 18:31, 1 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Wkn96, creating a new article is a complex process, and you should familiarize yourself by learning about editing through our introduction. After that, find some articles to edit on your Homepage or do some tasks at the Task Center. When you're ready, read everything on Help:Your first article, which contains important policies and guidelines on Wikipedia, such as conflict of interest. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 04:07, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from Vraj P Trivedi (12:26, 2 March 2024)

hello i want to edit articles about major historical figurres but it says the article is protected --Vraj P Trivedi (talk) 12:26, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Vraj P Trivedi, you might first want to take a look at our introduction, which outlines policies and guidelines when editing Wikipedia. The article is protected because of things like vandalism and sanctions applied to controversial topics. The "What can I do?" section in the protection message when you click "View source" shows the steps you can take to discuss the article with others to reach consensus is reached and make an edit request so that a more experienced user can make the edit for you. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 17:07, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Request

I'm a newbie, can you please tell me how do you write your talk page so beautiful?I want my talk page just as yours ,what can I do?Sheikbaba36524 (talk) 17:52, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

@Sheikbaba36524: I use some templates such as {{Talk header}}, which is the same template that is used on some talk pages for high traffic articles. I also use ClueBot III to automatically archive old discussions on my talk page. I also use templates to give help for newbies and an arbitration enforcement template so experienced users know not to warn me about Arbitration Committee sanctions. If you want, you can use the Edit tab at the top of the page to take a look at my talk page's source code. ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 17:58, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from 78jjt5 (08:16, 3 March 2024)

Hi do you know why my submission was rejected? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Representative_Anthony_Ealy&oldid=1211126094 --78jjt5 (talk) 08:16, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @78jjt5, it seems that the draft was rejected because it is contrary to the purposes of Wikipedia. Articles must be written from a neutral point of view, any conflicts of interests must be disclosed (especially if you are being paid), and subjects must be notable to qualify for a Wikipedia article. You can ask for advice at the Articles for creation (AFC) help desk using the Ask for advice button in the rejection message. You may also want to see our introduction to learn about editing Wikipedia. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 08:29, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Pablo paballo! You can learn how to edit by following our Introduction, which lets you learn the policies and guidelines of Wikipedia, as well as the basics of the editing interface. If you have a conflict of interest, you should disclose that now, especially if you are being paid. After that, you can find articles to edit on your Homepage. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 17:40, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from John cohams (16:51, 13 March 2024)

How fo I create a citation --John cohams (talk) 16:51, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @John cohams, and welcome to Wikipedia! I see that you mostly use the VisualEditor, and it’s a lot easier to create a citation with VisualEditor than the wikitext editor.
To create a citation, click the Cite button (the one that looks like quotation marks), then choose to
  • Automatically generate a citation using a URL, ISBN (or other identifier)
  • Manually fill out a citation template
  • Reuse a citation already in the article
I prefer manually filling out, but automatic citations are usually sufficient. Remember that everything in Wikipedia needs to be cited with reliable sources. If you have more questions, don’t hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 21:59, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

Question from Ajikeafolabi1998 on User:Ajikeafolabi1998 (22:16, 20 March 2024)

Hello Seminar write up on eye Discoloration with four chapter and reference --Ajikeafolabi1998 (talk) 22:16, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

Eye Discoloration Ajikeafolabi1998 (talk) 22:17, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Ajikeafolabi1998, while Wikipedia talk pages aren't a "seminar", and Wikipedia articles use sections instead of chapters, I currently don't have the time to write a full Wikipedia article, as I mainly do some minor tasks and project maintenance right now. You can learn how to edit Wikipedia through our Introduction, build experience by doing tasks from our Task Center, and when you're ready to make a new article, go to Help:Your first article to get started on your draft. If you really don't want to write an article, see Wikipedia:Requested articles, but it's more of a list of ideas than an article writing service. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask me using your Homepage or at the Teahouse. Happy editing! ~~2NumForIce (speak|edits) 15:33, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
