Legion Size?[edit]

Hi there :)

I just noted your addition to Third Servile War. I was wondering what source (if any) you had used to determine legion size? I wasn't able to locate a reputable source for late republic, post Marian reforms legions before, which is why I left out the number of troops. I've seen legion size estimates from the 3,500 of some of Caesar's Gallic legions, to 6,000 in the late Roman Empire. I'm not saying you're wrong, just wondering where you got your information, and whether we can cite and reference it in the article as well. - Vedexent 01:54, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I was just going by an old high school textbook that said the legions sizes, during the late republican era, were around 5,000-6,000. I believe Crassus had 5000 in each of his legions, but I am not too sure of that either.
Anyways, you may remove if you wish. 24630 03:30, 22 July 2006
No need. Like I said, we don't know its wrong - and it falls somewhere in the ballpark. It can stand until someonme corrects it, or challenges it with better documentations :) - Vedexent 13:02, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Song Dynasty succession boxes[edit]

I reverted the succession boxes you added since they're not accurate -- Song and Liao did not succeed each other; they were contemporaneous states, with Liao effectively being the successor to the Chitan tribal states that existed earlier, while Song being a successor to Later Zhou Dynasty. --Nlu (talk) 04:49, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, I feel that the succession boxes that you added for Han Dynasty are more confusing than accurate, and so I've reverted them. I'm sorry about this, but I think I'll have to look at the other succession box edits that you had and revert what are not quite accurate. --Nlu (talk) 04:50, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Its fine, do whatever you want. 24630 04:54, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:CommunistSplit.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CommunistSplit.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:05, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

According to the article, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Afghanistan paid tributaries to the Chinese empire. I am not very sure if these regions did so. Can you provide a credible source for these claims?--Incman|वार्ता 02:37, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
