List of Croatian flags

Dear IP user!

This flag might be historical, but it is definitely not an ethnic flag in Croatia. The fact that it was used 80 years ago, does not mean that a flag where the Swastika is replaced by Odal (rune) is a modern-day ethnic flag of Croatia. It can be added to that list, of course — but not as an ethnic flag. Maybe as an historical ethnic flag? "Volksdeutsche" is also not a term used in modern-day Croatia and the description "Flag of the German Community" is in this case obviously in this context not correct.

The so-called "Dubrovnik Republic" flag is an original research and failed verification. Beside the fact that this "Republic" only existed on paper and that it had no flag, the two sources you added do not seem to me like reliable sources. In fact, the flag you can find on that website really seems like an original research. Sourcing something on Wikipedia does not mean that it "just has to be somewhere on the internet." Please see: Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If needed, I will mention this conflict on the WP:AN, because it might be good to have thrid opinions here.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply!

1. I am not claiming that you "have stated that this flag is still used", sorry if I was not writing very well. My point is, it appears kinda weird when you put a such flag in the same box with the current minority/ethnic flags. If you ask me, it would be better to create a special section for historical ethnic flags. What do you think about this?

2. I agree with that, but I would put it in the List of Serbian or Yugoslav flags since it is not a "Croatian flag" → it is the CoA of Dubrovnik on a Serbian tricolour. It has nothing to do with the Croatian city of Dubrovnik or the historical Ragusa, it is some sort of "1990s irredentist creation".

3. It was not originally removed by me. Another user has removed it on January 20, 2022 with the description: "removing broken/copyrighted flags". I am not an expert for copyright, so I think it is the best if I contact the user and ask him about that.

PS: You seem to edit a lot with this IP, why do you not open an account? There are many pro's for opening an account! :-)
