January 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm IamNotU. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kaifeng Jews, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dude Master 2, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. IamNotU (talk) 02:24, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2019[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of largest employers, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. You have changed the number of employees from 1.3 million to 1.4 million. A reliable source is required to support this change, as it contradicts the existing source, Fortune 2015. You have also added companies to the List of the largest information technology companies, as being the world's 18th, 19th, and 20th largest companies, without giving a reliable source for this ranking, and in contradiction to the ranking given in the existing citation. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on List of the largest information technology companies. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You have reinstated, without explanation, the material noted above. The list, as it is presented in the article, is a list of the world's largest technology companies by revenue, and ranked in order. Your edit presents for example Tata Consultancy Services, with $11b revenue, as the world's 20th largest company by revenue. This is factually incorrect and in clear contradiction to the given source, Fortune, that states that Honeywell International, with $40.5b, is ranked 20th in the world. If you continue to insert such unsourced and incorrect information, and especially if you continue to do so without any edit summaries or talk page discussion, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please respond[edit]

From your editing behavior, I have reason to believe you are the same person as user Dude Master 2. Whether you are or not, just as with Dude Master 2, many of your contributions have been helpful, and that is appreciated. However, many of your edits, and your complete lack of communication and response to warnings, go against Wikipedia policies to an extent that's not acceptable, and will soon lead to you being blocked from editing. I hope that you can learn to improve and avoid this behavior, so that you can continue to make valuable contributions. I've copied the following from a message I left on the talk page of Dude Master 2:

I do appreciate that you have honestly been trying to improve Wikipedia. Nevertheless, edits that add or change information without a reliable source, misrepresent reliable sources, or manufacture original research based on an editor's personal experience or opinions about what is correct, go against the core pillars of Wikipedia, verifiability and neutral point of view, and do damage Wikipedia. If this is done repeatedly, it is considered disruptive editing, and will lead to the person being blocked from editing if they continue. Furthermore, all editors are expected to communicate when necessary, and failing to do so is also considered disruptive. It would be in your best interest to respond to the complaints from other editors here. You are welcome to continue editing Wikipedia, as long as your contributions meet the requirements of verifiability and other content policies. However, if you make any further edits that violate the above policies, without adequate explanation, you will be blocked. Thanks for your understanding. --IamNotU (talk) 15:03, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at List of countries by largest historical GDP. IamNotU (talk) 23:19, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
