The sources indicated in the article did not include Miss Globe as a title to be awarded by the Binibining Pilipinas in the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 pageant. The official website of Binibining Pilipinas stated that "titles at stake are Miss Universe Philippines, BinibiningPilipinas International, BinibiningPilipinas Intercontinental, BinibiningPilipinas Supranational, and BinibiningPilipinas Grand International."
