there is a lot of sheer politicized nonsense in the article on the Russian conquest of Siberia, I just erased a small part of it. It's really outrageous claiming that Russians did get diseases into Siberia when in reality it was the Mongol invasion that brought about those diseases not only to Siberia but to Russia and Europe as well. It's a plain scum to claim how many people died there. They always were small nomadic tribes, illiterate, there isn't and can't be any reliable data on their numbers. The fact is that in many cases Russians preserved those people from extinction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kirosias (talkcontribs) 15:23, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Вы о чём вообще? При чём тут монгольское нашествие 13 века? В Сибири не было оспы до прихода русских, об этом и речь. Ничего политизированного там нет, источники стоят, не нравится ваше личное мнение. Каракорум (talk) 15:29, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please use English in edit summaries[edit]

Please use English in edit summaries, as otherwise most editors won't be able to understand what you wrote.--Staberinde (talk) 11:27, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Of course you right. I used russian, because my opponent knows it. Каракорум (talk) 13:29, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • "Opponent"? Whoa, WP:BATTLEGROUND. I know you're talking about me. Knock it off. Your ethnocentric slavic nationalism may be tolerated on Russian Wikipedia, but it is not welcome here.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 14:14, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • Firstly it's not about you. Secondly don't chase me, you were not invited to my page. I understand that you are defending Devlet, but essentially doing the same pushing as he. I mean the Crimean Tatar topic. Каракорум (talk) 14:18, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
        • I'm not chasing you. Your edits showed up on may watchlist because many of the pages you edited were on my watchlist. Naturally, I saw your edits, and I was surprised that you are editing enwiki. Second, I do not have to be "invited" to your page to confront you about your behavior. Third, this has nothing to do with Devlet Geray. I disagree with him a lot, and I myself sometimes don't like his edits. I am confronting you because of YOUR behavior, not anything to do with Devlet. Fourth, my edits on Crimean Tatar history are well-supported by fact and the use of mainstream sources supported by international consensus, not fringe sources by Russian nationalists used for slander. As a Wikipedia editor I have the right to be a productive contributer to the subject. You do not have the right to bulldoze all things Crimean Tatar on Wikipedia just because of your nationalist grudges.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 14:27, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
          • What are you talking about? What am I taking off? I am making minor edits. In articles not related to Crimean topics, I made several edits, after which Devlet came and canceled them without comment. The fact that he was blocked in Russian is his personal problems. In addition, as far as I remember in Ruviki, you constantly complained that someone writes on your discussion page, although he was not called. And then you have the right? Double standards? Do you blame me for nationalism? In this case, I blame you. Каракорум (talk) 14:33, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
            • The problem with the person posting on my talkpage wasn't that they arrived without a ping. The problem was that they came to complain about a months-old situation that I no longer wanted to be involved in. I clearly expressed the fact that I did not care about which way the page was edited, and asked them to leave, yet they still pursued. It is not customary to beat a dead horse, and it is unacceptable to bother users about months-old editwars they have repeatedly expressed disinterest in. On the other hand, your actions here are very recent. As for nationalism - writing articles about accomplished people (pilots, writers, engineers, scientists) of one's own nation out of pride is VERY different from writing articles to disparage other nations, attempt to justify marginalization of others, minimize the extent of it, or going on a deletion spree for articles about a particular nation. If you were to be PRODUCTIVE were just improving articles about famous Russians - power to you, I won't stop you. But when you make a point to putting down other peoples as part of a sick superiority complex, such behavior will not be tolerated.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 14:46, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
              • Personally, you can think anything. Given your non-neutrality in this matter, I do not see the need to prove anything to you. Каракорум (talk) 14:57, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
                • Do you expect me to think you are neutral either?--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 15:24, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
                  • This topic is called use English in the comments. I used Russian in an article where I waged the Devlet revision war, and this article was not on your list. So why are you here if there was no talk about you at all. Do you want to avenge me for Devlet in Russian? Каракорум (talk) 15:33, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After reading more information concerning the result/outcome of this war, I feel we need to re-assess the result. I think a resolution like the Battle of Jamrud which indicates a result of disputed with a link to a paragraph in the article which discusses the different results.

I will start a discussion on the article talk page. --Kansas Bear (talk) 19:38, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The book, Janet Martin, Medieval Russia: 980-1584, page 356, does not state Russian victory. Do you have a different source that states a Russian victory for the Russo-Turkish war?

I have posted some information concerning Ottoman goals for this war on the article talk page. --Kansas Bear (talk) 21:52, 15 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
