there is a lot of sheer politicized nonsense in the article on the Russian conquest of Siberia, I just erased a small part of it. It's really outrageous claiming that Russians did get diseases into Siberia when in reality it was the Mongol invasion that brought about those diseases not only to Siberia but to Russia and Europe as well. It's a plain scum to claim how many people died there. They always were small nomadic tribes, illiterate, there isn't and can't be any reliable data on their numbers. - I'm not chasing you. Your edits showed up on may watchlist because many of the pages you edited were on my watchlist. Naturally, I saw your edits, and I was surprised that you are editing enwiki. Second, I do not have to be "invited" to your page to confront you about your behavior. Third, this has nothing to do with Devlet Geray. I disagree with him a lot, and I myself sometimes don't like his edits. I am confronting you because of YOUR behavior, not anything to do with Devlet. Fourth, my edits on Crimean Tatar history are well-supported by fact and the use of mainstream sources supported by international consensus, not fringe sources by Russian nationalists used for slander. As a Wikipedia editor I have the right to be a productive contributer to the subject. - The problem with the person posting on my talkpage wasn't that they arrived without a ping. The problem was that they came to complain about a months-old situation that I no longer wanted to be involved in. I clearly expressed the fact that I did not care about which way the page was edited, and asked them to leave, yet they still pursued. It is not customary to beat a dead horse, and it is unacceptable to bother users about months-old editwars they have repeatedly expressed disinterest in. On the other hand, your actions here are very recent. As for nationalism - writing articles about accomplished people (pilots, writers, engineers, scientists) of one's own nation out of pride is VERY different from writing articles to disparage other nations, attempt to justify marginalization of others, minimize the extent of it, or going on a deletion spree for articles about a particular nation. If you were to be PRODUCTIVE were just improving articles about famous Russians - power to you, I won't stop you. After reading more information concerning the result/outcome of this war, I feel we need to re-assess the result. I think a resolution like the Battle of Jamrud which indicates a result of disputed with a link to a paragraph in the article which discusses the different results.

The book, Janet Martin, Medieval Russia: 980-1584, page 356, does not state Russian victory. Do you have a different source that states a Russian victory for the Russo-Turkish war?
